I dined at Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke and had a wonderful experience. I tried the Hibachi Chicken and it was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the hibachi-style cooking added a unique and flavorful twist.
I also tried the Thai tea and it was fantastic. The tea was perfectly brewed and had just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect complement to my meal.
The atmosphere at Ichiban Sushi Bar & Poke was warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent.

Best all-around sushi place in Norman! The Wasabi, it was thick and potent! The ginger was the best I've ever had, sweet and floral! They had 2 special roll for $17 on Tuesday! We had lobster roll, cowboy, and a couple of others but don't remember the names. Had misu soup and edimama. Everything was tasty and beautiful! See the pics! Service was awesome! Told the server that the Wasabi and ginger was the best and she sent some home with us! Then she brought us a pineapple boat and it was awesome! You got to come here ASAP! They have poke also!

Miso Soup
This will be my first and last time eating here. The sushi was decent, but definitely not the best I have ever had. The server was terrible and really made a negative impression. She was impolite when she forgot my miso soup, but as she brought our food out, I reminded her. Her response was to laugh and not apologize. She didn't check on us once, but she did come back to drop off the tab without asking if we needed or wanted anything else.

I consider myself somewhat of a sushi connoisseur. I've had sushi with my daughters and my now-ex-wife in upwards of 80 places. This was in several states and cities, as well as another country (although not in Japan). This place is "meh". But, even worse than the lack of flavor is the seriously SMALL sizes of the sushi rolls. I tried to upload my picture, but it wouldn't work this time. But, I would think that making a roll barely bigger than my thumb width would be more difficult than just making it normal sized.
The 2 ladies were nice enough. While I did takeout and did not eat "in-house", the atmosphere was pretty plain. But again my biggest disappointment was the rolls. In addition they "cut" the wasabi, as many places do it seems these days. It was only about 40% the strength of traditional. Even more was that they only added about 1/2 teaspoon for 4 rolls. I like wasabi and want more than that for sure.
Unfortunately for this restaurant, I won't be returning. They may think they can fool people in Oklahoma. Perhaps others, but not me. The picture of 4 rolls totaled about $28. Pretty bad, I'd say. Only enough for ONE person.
