Had Cedar Plank Salmon, Unicorn Sushi Rolls, Miso Soup, Vampire Tacos, and Lobster Tots. Everything was amazing and looked just like the menu pictures. Consistently cooked and seasoned to perfection. Lobster Tots are delicious with big chunks of lobster and creamy cheese...toasted. Excellent service. Warm cozy ambiance (dim lighting). Go here for a nice dinner! Although I wouldn’t have paired chipotle glazed salmon with stir-fried snap peas with Hunan sauce and loaded mashed potatoes, each component was perfectly prepared and the combination was surprisingly delicious. I practically licked my plate. I added the sparkling Italian rose which was tasty as well. Delightful location walking distance from the train station in “olde town” Arvada. My family, friends and I went to Smokin Fins in Old Town Arvada on New Years Day. Our server was Matt. He was exceptionally professional, patient and checked on us just enough. He introduced himself to us and gave us his name. Not many servers do that anymore. He even asked before we ordered if any one of us has a food allergy that we should know about. I am particularly impressed because I have never been asked by a server and I am allergic to raw onions (but not cooked or processed onions). The food and service were excellent. Our only concern with the atmosphere is in the acoustics of the space. It's open with a lot of hard surfaces, so the sound is amplified.
