After a walk around Concord Free Public Library, many visitors stop by this bar. French cuisine provides authentic dishes at 80 Thoreau. Perfectly cooked Arctic char, terrine and roasted chicken have a good taste. Being at this place, try good panna cotta, caramel ice cream and bread pudding. You will be offered delicious champagne, Sauvignon blanc or vermouth. Great chocolate frappe, tonic or tea are among the tastiest drinks to order. The convenient location of this spot makes it easy to reach by any transport. Most reviewers consider the staff patient. Service at this bar is something one can call terrific. Prices are found low here. There is a homey ambiance and nice decor at 80 Thoreau. Google users like this place: it was rated 4.7 stars.

Although I usually refrain from leaving negative feedback for local businesses, I feel compelled to share my recent experience at 80 Thoreau . Despite being one of my favorite restaurent , my latest visit was unfortunately marred by disappointing service from our waiter. Unfortunately, our waiter failed to meet the basic standards of service throughout our meal. Despite walking by our table multiple times, he never once inquired about the quality of our food or whether we needed anything else, including drinks for the children. Not once !! We even had to raise our hand to get his attention and he seems annoyed . However, the quality of the food and the warm welcome from the host remained as exceptional as ever. Additionally, we experienced a prolonged wait of approximately 50 minutes for our (adult food ) to be served, which was challenging with children in tow. When I sought clarification regarding a charge on our bill, the waiter’s response was unhelpful and curt. Instead of offering an explanation, he simply mentioned that a $10 discount had been applied by the manager, leaving me feeling confused and unsatisfied with the interaction. Despite the undeniable quality of the food, the overall dining experience was overshadowed by the inadequate service provided by our waiter. I sincerely hope that this feedback will encourage improvements in service standards at 80 Thoreau with attention to customer satisfaction, I believe the restaurant has the potential to maintain its status as a beloved establishment in the community.

i am flabbergasted by how good the food was. i had no idea food could even taste this good. i got the duck breast and oh my god there was so much depth in all of the flavors and they all complimented each other so well…… a thanks to all the staff and also to nick our server who was super friendly Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A visit to 80 Thoreau is always a treat, but even more so when they have a special menu. Their tomato and corn tasting wraps up today and it was fantastic. They are located on the top floor of the Concord Depot, the former train station. The space is charming both in the bar area and the dining room. I’ve been going there long enough to see dozens of servers come and go, but they are always knowledgeable and attentive. My only disappointment is that the bar burger is no longer available. It’s hard to find, but park at the old train station, look for the blue door, past the elevators, and to the left up the stairs you will find welcoming staff, a knowledgeable bartender, comfortable seating, just the right ambient lighting, and dishes (and drinks) that amaze! This is the epitome of a hidden gem. Highly recommend this establishment as a creative, relaxing dining experience. 80 Thoreau is an investment in delicious food and an enjoyable time. Read more to find out why you must come here: 1. The space is beautiful. Well designed, modern but rustic. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate. A perfect spot to go on a date or catch up with an old friend, high attention to detail and comfortable seating. 2. The staff are attentive and professional. Everyone that stopped by our table was kind and knowledgeable. Seemed like people where happy and overall just nice to interact with. 3. My wife has food allergies and the staff was knowledgeable about what she should have and what they could modify. 4. The food was delicious! There is an attention to detail with the flavor and everything is timed perfectly. When you finish one dish the next comes out. 5. We never felt rushed. I’m really glad we decided to eat at 80 Thoreau. We will be back! Tip for the reader, you need a reservation and usually they are booked a few days out. My boyfriend and I came here last night to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We loved the food as well as the staff they were all so warm and welcoming. We will definitely be returning for another romantic date night soon!!!! Service Dine in

Quaint place with the price to match. Crispy soft shell was very tasty though we wished we had more for it. Sea bass was boneless but was a bit dry and vegetables a little bland. Grilled pork was perfectly cooked and support was nice.

The highlights from our amazing meal were the chicken liver mousse and the hangar steak. Layering the toast with the blueberry mustard, mousse, pickled rhubarb, then micro greens created a perfect bite. The hangar steak was medium rare inside with a gorgeous char on the outside. The heirloom tomato salad, scallops, and desserts were also solidly delicious.
