Place was packed for dinner with older locals decked out for Memorial Day Weekend (The Greatest Generation). Roast beef special was tasty with gravy and green beans. Met Dave the owner. My dad and my dads side of the family are from Osceola Mills, Philipsburg. I however live and was born in York, Pennsylvania. After all the years of visiting my dads family this was my first time ever going to the American Diner and let me tell you there was no disappointment at all!!! The food,hospitality, service and even the quaint small town atmosphere was at its highest. It is definitely in mine and my families opinion a perfect go to if you want great home cooked food without doing it yourself. Can’t wait to go back and visit and have a great meal with my family. Whether your passing through or live in the area don’t miss out on this place!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

I personally Absolutely Love Love the American Diner 🥰 Delicious home cooked food. I've honestly never had anything bad here. 🙂 I go out of my way for every holiday to buy Cookies. They taste just as good as they look. I'm a very hard person to please with cookies most of them taste horrible. Not the American Diners cookies they are on Point and Perfect. 😁♥️ Also from the time you walk in, Their workers are Kind, Courteous, and Respectful. They go Above and Beyond!!! Nice roadside cafe - not much to look at. Could be more eye catching. Prices very reasonable and a very good value even though prices have increased. Less than a dozen entrees over $10. Breakfast served all day. Closes at 7:pm. WiFi excellent. Apple crumb pie very good. Staff friendly and cordial. Bathrooms large, clean and kept up. I very seldom give out 5 stars and would strongly recommend this cafe. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

Quaint Roadside Diner. All safety precautions are being done very well. Friendly courteous service, good food. We had the BBQ with French fries for $5.99. Very clean and updated restrooms!!!

No gimmicks, no beer, just good old comfort food.😀 Don't pass it up, hometown people and conversation. Often crowded and justly so.
