I used to have Apollo Pizza before moving away for about 10 years. Now that I'm back in the area, I'd ordered a good 'ol cheese pizza...it was inedible. The crust tasted like it was pre-made and frozen and the cheese had a processed chemical after taste. This is most definitely NOT the same Apollo Pizza. This was a go place for over 40 years, I remember the place would be packed, with 10 guys working the kitchen. The owner should demand the original recipe from the original owners, and switch back to the brick ovens. Just go back to the basics and you''ll crush it! Decided to try it out despite the mixed reviews... Their pizza tastes like frozen pizza (weird cardboard crust and dried out cheese) and the guy was not friendly at all. Definitely won’t be back.
