Very good burger in one of the best buns I've had. Very nice authentic atmosphere. Kudos to the staff and kitchen for fast and good service despite being very busy as there was a theatre show running at the same time in the courtyard. My wife had the entrecote, it's not possible to determine how well it's done, it comes 'well done' and we were notified by the waitress. I think it's ok to have a policy like this, especially during crazy busy hours, but in my opinion the standard should then be set at 'medium' :) If I'm back in Grimstad one day, this is my first stop! Visited with my friend. It was an incredible experience. Highly knowledgeable and fun bartender Leronzo and his boss was awesome , very lay back .awesome rooms on the 2nd floor, it's has black mountain bar in Brooklyn kinda of vibes. This place is legendary. I can't wait to come back The only negative thing I can mention even though the pizza is very delicious but it's overpriced about 25 USD Service Dine in Price per person kr 400–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

you’ll be charmed far more by the surroundings than the food itself but why complain? here’s a converted tavern, spread out across three flights of airy open spaces, where hospitality is prioritized over luxury. the nostalgia-filled decor offers a mischievous nod to kitsch while the menu from the kitchen delivers far more on comfort food than artisanal feinschmecker fare (i.e. don’t hold your breath for big city finesse). fair enough. there’s also a wide variety of local brews from across sørlandet, there's outdoor seating AND it’s most certainly possible to get a decent cortado - which can’t be said about the other options found in grimstad. besides, there aren’t many all-day venues in the area which can accommodate large parties and also serve as a de facto town hall… win win, all around.

Apotekergaarden is located in the center of Grimstad and offers both indoor and outdoor dining. The place has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere that forms a good setting around the meal. The menu consists of pizza, burgers and various salads based on ingredients from local producers. The place also has a rich selection of beers, wines and other beverages including a self-produced beer. I chose to order a hamburger and this one looked tasty and homemade. The meat was ground on site and based on pure beef from a local farm and tasted excellent. The accessories appeared to be exciting and helped to top the experience. The dining experience was very good and the kitchen deserves praise for the use of local ingredients, as well as for daring to explore new flavor combinations. The self-produced beer also tasted excellent and had a good and balanced taste. The staff appeared to be somewhat insecure on the menu and the service was characterized by some clutter and coincidence. Some more knowledge about the menu, interest in the guests and structure had helped to elevate the overall experience. I highly recommend the place and will definitely visit the place again next time I am in Grimstad.

Was there last evening. We waited more than an hour to get our drinks. Even on a Friday evening that's not ok. And do not expect any service: they have gone to electronic ordering so you only meet you server when he finally drops of you drinks. Been there before to eat and do not get the fries with your burger: Not only are they like boiled potatoes covered in oil (soggy), but you get around 7 of them.

Delicious burgers, nice selection of beers. Unfortunately: - we got ordinary burger instead of ordered child sized chicken burger - we got 2 BBQ burgers instead of ordered 1 BBQ and 1 Mexican - long waiting time

It’s the best burger you would ever taste. Fresh, clean flavours and a crispy bun with a very warm and juicy burger patty. Also they make child friendly options which are not on the menu. Excellent service and would definitely return.

Fantastic atmosphere and interior decorations. Love the pictures of old seamen with pipes. I had the signature burger with potatoes, which was delicious and tasty. Could’ve done with a few more potatoes though.

Good menu. Missing some vital ingredients late on a Sunday so reduced selection. Asked for IPA glass (for my Nøgne Ø double IPA), but was told they did not have. Saw later people with IPA glasses so must blame inexperienced server. Paid for blue cheese on a burger, but only got standard cheese since told after it was finished that they did not have more of the blue. Despite some service flaws I recommend this place. The food was very good. Could very well be a 5 star on a "less busy" night.
