So I am completely impressed with the food at this Applebee's 😋, it was so good we got 2 for 25 sizzling skillets and they were on point! I highly recommend! We had a wonderful dinner with my mother Nancy Andree who is owner of the Geranium House here in Athens and friends and family as we were wishing her farewell because she would be leaving the following day for a one-year mission trip to the capital city of Managua, Nicaragua 🇳🇮 to teach English at the Hosanna Bible Church there and we had a wonderful time visiting and eating and laughing and catching up and just loving one another and we were glad to do it at your restaurant, it was an honor! The server was cordial, but she didn't write the order down and of course it was incorrect. No big deal, she left the tomatoes on my wife's cheeseburger, we just took them off. I had the baby back ribs and they were dryer than a desert breeze, but the flavor was good. My french fries were cold and they were all about an inch long...how does that happen? Had a great visit with locals, enjoyed our service! Great time. If you're looking for a place to go look no further. Best place in Athens. Only got a pic of our 1st cocktail Completely entertained. The waiting staff is absolutely fantastic! Always friendly with exquisite menu knowledge. That's about all there is good to this place. Most patrons don't come here to eat, just to drink. The bartender is probably the slowest bartender I ever seen. Even when the restaurant is empty, it still takes 10 minutes to get a drink, with a half empty bar. The food is junk. If you have no taste buds, then it'll probably be fine. The mushrooms used in dishes are not fresh, they're canned mushrooms. The BBQ mushroom burger tasted like wet noodles. The Three Cheese Pene tasted like it was boiled in tap water, non seasoned, and the chicken was rough as a brick. I assumed it was old. The 12OZ steaks had warm defrost water coming out of it, as it was probably defrosted in a microwave before being cooked. The mashed potatoes and vegetables always cold. The appetizer portions are ridiculously huge depending on what you get. I tried the artichoke dip and queso cheese dip, and it came with a store bought bag of oven heated tortilla chips and a drop in the bucket for actual dip. Wouldn't recommend this on food standards. Most recent trip here was very disappointing. Note that the restaurant was almost empty. Only a few people sitting at the bar. Cheese sticks was cold and the 2nd attempt they only came out warmish. Chicken entree was cold and rib entree was so overdone it could barely be chewed. Wait staff did their job very well. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
