Wine tasting is okey, need to pay while other offering free. Also not sure why we coming to NV Pahrump to taste California produce wine. 🤷♂️Plus order cheese plate to go with wines, finish 2 different wines still no cheese plate, probably been 20 min since ordered, really bad cheese plate. Not sure why it’s takes so long to make simple cheese plate. Will give preference to other place.
See attached cheese plate which cost $ 11.99 plus took them 20 min to make.
2/14/24 Valentine’s Day dinner, words really won't do it justice to explain how much we enjoyed our dinner tonight. The atmosphere, the food, the waitress, and the wine were all superb. The best part was the desert, I extremely dislike cherries, I did not know the desert was filled with chocolate & cherries. I bit into it & it was amazing. Like nothing I ever had before, it was perfection at its finest. What made our experience perfect was having the owners approach everyone's table to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We have been members for a couple of years now & we will be attending more events in the future.
We were looking for a nice place to take my sister out for a nice birthday lunch and we really enjoyed Artesian Cellars! She LOVED the wine slushies and the food was outstanding! The prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and portions. Besides the food and excellent wine, the service was outstanding! There are good servers, great servers, and then there is Dana! What an absolute pleasure it was to have her help us with our wine etc. She really added to and made our experience so much fun! Even though it was quite busy, she was always right there helping us with anything we needed. We will definitely return and highly recommend!
A refreshing suprise discovered while passing throufh Death Valley. Excellent wines in a cozy ambiance. Met some wonderful people and had some nice conversations. Thanks to the wonderful Miss Haley who helped me pick out a fantastic Barbera, which was so good, I picked up a bottle the next day on the way out of town. Great homemade Tiramisu also!
This morning I called to inquire about the dress code and spoke with Kim. She was friendly and courteous. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm attitude. The decor is so cute. Glass top tables are propped on barrels. There is bar and outdoor seating and a fabulous menu. I had a delicious salad and my husband had a roast beef and gorgonzola panini. Judging by the few crumbs he left behind, he was more than pleased. I sampled 5 red wines for $8. All delicious and generously portioned. The clientele was charming. I felt like I had been there many times before. Prices are great, better than eating at a fast food establishment. Try it, you will thank me! I PROMISE!
Visited for the first time intentionally for lunch vs wine. Aside from the kitchen not having a few items we ordered due to a late supply delivery, we enjoyed our lunch of stuffed dates, an apple mozzarella flatbread (needed more apple), and a roast beef and gorgonzola panini. All were lacking in presentation appeal but tasted good. It was a lovely warm breezy day perfect for spending a few hours in the comfortable rear patio sipping wine (which we opted not to do due to being a bit too early in the day, but will return for that experience). We liked the brief tour and friendly atmosphere as well. Thumbs up 👍
Went here again for a quick nosh kind of late but we were welcomed. Had a chicken pesto panini loaded with flavor and hubby had a cheese panini which was good also. Maybe next time we will try the wines or other cocktails available. Very nice staff. The owners were there based on the slides showing on the screen.
My adult family and I are visiting Las Vegas from Pennsylvania and took a day trip to Death Valley. We originally planned to stop at the Pahrump Valley Winery for tastings and lunch but learned that it was closed for renovations under new ownership (April 2023). But in all honesty, our visit to Artesian Cellars was so incredibly enjoyable that knowing what we know now, I would have planned to go here instead!
Don’t let the small exterior fool you, Artesian Cellars is an absolutely wonderful winery/bar and restaurant. Although there is no actual vineyard on site (other than a small decorative one along the road) as the location is primarily for aging/bottling (edit: As the owner stated, they also process and ferment!) and also food/drink, you should not let that deter you! There are plenty of options for seating both inside and outside if your prefer. The staff is so very friendly and engaging and went out of their way to help us and keep us happy in every way. They were happy to pull two barrels together to accommodate our group of 6.
We tried the 5 red wine tasting and was able to sample a number of the wines which are aged and bottled on-site but are made from grapes sourced from nearby states (I believe they were Washington, Oregon, and California?). I think they said they will be bottling some reds that contain Nevada grapes in the not too distant future to add to their selection. I do think they have a white made with Nevada grapes though! The wines were about average, not great but also not bad either, and I’m glad that we tried them to at least get the experience. Our server was also the same person who gave us the tasting and she did her best to describe them to us. They probably could have had a sommelier or at least someone who specializes in wine tasting to give the tasting to customers but it wasn’t a big deal.
We also had a delicious lunch on site which more than satisfied prior to heading out to our final destination for the day which was Death Valley. What a great experience!!
On a side note, before we stopped in we read through other reviews and read one very negative review on TripAdvisor from a visitor that nearly led to us going somewhere else. I assure you that the things said in that review were in no way our experience. If you also read that review and are thinking of stopping in, please take my advice and do it!! You will not be sorry.
They are amazing. Very down to earth (some of the wine tastings we've been to can be very pompous). We even got to meet the wine maker, Jim, who was super nice. He told us all about the process they do to havest and make the wine. Speaking of the wine, it is very good. Like any tasting there was some I liked more than others. But it was nice because my husband and I have very different taste in wine, so we did two different tastings (Red for him and sweet for me). We ended up buying 4 bottles, which is a testament to how much we enjoyed the winery, tasting, wine, and the staff. We will definitely be back.
What an adorable little winery!!! They make all of their own wines, sourcing grapes from NV, CA, and WA. We did two tastings (one red and one white). All of the wines were really yummy! The views were incredible, overlooking the mountains. They are part of Harvest Host too! The wine tasting fee is waved when you buy a bottle of wine as well, which was so worth it because we wanted a bottle of our favorite for the seafood we were cooking that night.
The service was amazing, the people were so kind, with a smile, giving incredible service.
Overall, I highly recommend and we will be back!
This is a high-end winery in Pahrump that deserves all of their high praise. Their wines are delicious, the service is excellent, and their food is delicious too. I had the red flight and my sister had the white. Both were outstanding. We also ordered the truffle potato chips and the goat cheese/fontina flatbread with figs. It was just perfect. What a lovely space. We’ll be back for sure.
