I went in yesterday for the first time…and i got to say that the service wasn’t what i was expecting i walked in and the girl that was there didn’t greet me all she did was smile i felt kinda uncomfortable..the food was okay i got the chicharrones de harina preparados those were good but the presentation was not it…i also got the tostitos con elote they didn’t have enough corn or cheese my husband didn’t like them he said they were to dry and we also got the mini pancakes and those were okay as well i don’t think i will be going again the service was just not how they be mentioning it threw me off kinda disappointed for sure. :/ Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Sooo delicious, they stayed open a few minutes later for us since we arrived right before closing for desserts. Absolutely amazing churros, as well as a funnel cake dessert. When we ordered from door dash. We were told that they were out of items and they are cancelling the order. But in truth they told the delivery driver that they need a few mins to get all the items ready. We were misinformed. Luckily we still wanted to pursue so we came in person. They explained us the misinformation and made all our order. Was pretty much impressed by the service and quality and taste of the items ordered. Everything was fresh and great . Nice small business environment my biggest gripes are the portion and prices we stopped by looking to splurge so the initial cost wasn’t killer but retrospective portions don’t equal the price the sopa loca was twelve dollars but consisted of a cup of noodles (maruchan shrimp ramen retails for one dollar) topped with cheese and roughly less then half of a bag of chips cheese and corn. Another item was the tostilocos great item but was only lightly topped with the advertised ingredients for twelve dollars I expected more than the small amount I got for the price I’m paying. Hidden gem of Montrose. Authentic flavors, and super friendly service! Always pleasant to see a family running a restaurant together. A tantalizing array of Mexican snacks. The Strawberry cream Fresca, Cucumber Lime Fresca are refreshing. Their Mangonada is the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. The salad dish type of thing with cucumbers and mixed fruit and Tajin is mind boggling. Must try for anyone coming to Montrose.
