Awesome service and food is awesome!! My favorite on is the brewers burger, gotta have it with 2 slices of that beautiful pieces of thick juicy crunchy bacon! Absolutely gorgeous. It’s a must have! Showed up at 530 on a Friday, and it was super busy. There are tables outside to sit while you're waiting, and you can order from their bar while you wait. Overall, food was really great!! Kimchi flatbread was awesome, as was the Brewer's burger! Mac and cheese with brisket left a little to be desired, but the side of brussel sprouts was good! Tons of beer to choose from. Very loud atmosphere, so if thats not your thing be prepared. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Stopped in over the weekend to have some appetizers and drinks. We have had a few of the beers and sours made by Barn Town Brewing at restaurants and the Iowa State Fair. A great atmosphere, awesome and friendly staff. The food selection and flavor was phenomenal. The cotton candy sour was so delicious ended up buying a 4 pack to go.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Barntown today. Had cheese curds and some drinks, all of which were very tasty! Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overly so. If you are lucky enough to not have to wait an hour before getting seated, the food is great. The service is a little odd. We saw customers being seated in booths with inky 2 people. Empty tables and crowds blocking the entrance. Just seems the staff was a bit young to be adequate. I'd return to give it another try if I didn't have to wait such a long time. The nachos with the Black Bean & Corn topping were amazing! The fried pickles were only okay - oddly sweet and sitting in a pool of oil. Some of the beers tasted weird to us, but we only tried tasters. This space is neat and it looks like it would be even better in the summer! Judging from my two visits here I guess they're known for their unique flavor combinations. Nearly all the beers are flawless. Their pickle beer was good but I honestly wish it had more pickle flavor. All of their sours are delicious! The rotating beer ice cream has been tasty as well! The food, however, is not great. We got the kimchi flatbread this last visit during the pickle beer release and it was not good. The bread is too soft for the amount of toppings that go on. The kimchi tasted under-fermented and the sauce and other flavors just did not compliment each other well. When we came for Father's Day last year the food was better though still kind of confused on flavor. Good thing I'm judging the beer for the overall rating. The beer is awesome! Come for the beer!
