Nice spot to start a 20 minute walk around the small lake. Can be quite a busy area in summer or on nice days. lots of people walking their dogs too during the day. The beach club is a good place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Cozy place, we like to sit there and have a drink after taking a calming walk around the lake. This time we had lunch here also, it was crowded but still we enjoyed our time, staff is always welcoming and food is good/tasty. It’s a really good place to enjoy a drink or lunch. It has a great view over the lake and the service is good. It’s not that pricey when you compare it to other places in Groningen. tl;dr: Food was excellent, service was really terrible We ate our meal without anything to drink while our empty glasses sat at the end of the table for 15+ minutes. The people serving the food couldn't take orders, and no one who could take an order ever came back to do so. Had to ask twice for a desert menu, and then no one came back for our order, so we left without desert or coffee.
