Update 9/20/24. Went by around 2:00. One person with a child was being helped at the counter. After the lady took the order she disappeared into the kitchen for a minute and when she came back she helped a person who was behind me. She took his money and then gave him is to go food. Afterwards she took the customer into the kitchen. A couple workers were doing other things and no one had offered to help me or said hello yet. Unfortunately I left. I was really looking forward to eating there being the first time my wife and I came we got great service and the food was amazing. I don’t come to High Point very often so I try to stop by when I can. Our first visit 5 star - Awesome place! Larry and the others were so nice. Food was great!

The Critter Gitter

It's in an out of the way place. Traffic construction and Google maps are not synchronized. The atmosphere speaks locals, hard-working people. This is a CASH ONLY establishment. The food was good. It is soul food, so eater beware. They use a lot of butter on everything. Staff was very pleasant and down to earth. It was a clean establishment as well. If there's one complaint that would be, everything is served on paper plates and Styrofoam, that's eat in and to go. Would I go back, yes. I would request "easy on the butter".
