Very disappointed. Visited on my own some time ago, visited more recently with my gf. Food was underwhelming, but not enough to be a problem. Our waitress provided bad service. One of the few times I've ever skimped on a tip. She disappeared and we couldn't get our check, only to have her finally wander back in to the restaurant reeking of cigarette smoke. Guess they pay her to smoke whenever she wants. My gf commented that it's the first time she ever had an empty water cup at a sit down restaurant. As another review pointed out, it was strangely cold. We were sitting near a window, and it's like they had their HVAC system pushing cold air directly onto our table. It cooled our food and kinda ruined it, never mind making us uncomfortable. Skip this place unfortunately. Maybe get one of their giant cinnamon rolls to go but don't sit down for a meal. Service: 1

This place has been around since before Kennedy was shot, I think. And it shows. It's a dump. But I suppose that's what adds to it's charm. It's one of the last standing greasy spoon restaurants in the Salt Lake Valley. My visit today was abysmal. I have been here numerous times throughout my life in Utah. But this visit was particularly bad. This restaurant is cold and drafty. The service was slow and inattentive. The food was good, but it took FOREVER to get it. But most noticeable at the Belgian Waffle was this sweet, almost nauseating smell, of urinal blocks. *gags* Immediately when you walk in, you are hit in the face with the smell of very identifiable cleaning products or scents meant to mask smells in a bathroom. The Belgian Waffle must be using more than one of these in their restrooms because that's all I could smell coming into and sitting within their restaurant. It's overwhelming. It's also really kind of disgusting. Have you ever been on a road trip and stopped at a rest area bathroom? It seems clean but has that stale smell of aged urine and poo that's covered up with a particular sweet smell of a specific aromatic or overuse of urinal cakes/blocks? THAT'S what the Belgian Waffle smells like. If the entire restaurant is going to smell like a truck stop bathroom AND have painfully slow service, I don't know that I need to patronize this dump anymore. To the owners, do some remodeling. Clean the place up. Get some focus on service. I'm embarrassed for you. Maybe we need to get Gordon Ramsay in there to do an episode of "Kitchen Nightmares"? Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Love this place! The server Kelly asked my husband and I for our names and every time she came by she addressed us as so. I have never had such a wonderful service for breakfast. The atmosphere was quiet. Though I'm sure it could get quite loud since there weren't many people there. The food was delicious my husband had the waffles and I got the eggs Benedict. I know the difficulties of having to make a poached egg and these were definitely perfect! I wish we lived closer to come more often. But we will definitely have to make a trip to come back soon. I LOVE Belgian Waffle and Omelet Inn! I’ve been coming here as long as I can remember, it’s definitely a comfort place. I’ve recently started a tradition with my cousin where we go around 11PM once a month and we love it. I only ever get the Garbage Hash and it hits every. single. time. Seriously you can’t go wrong with it. The service can sometimes be on the slower side, but that’s also because we go late and night when it’s maybe not as staffed. It’s not a place to go in a rush. Absolutely amazing country/chicken fried steak. They have 3 gravys for it sausage gravy, chicken gravy (kind of like the white gravy but peppery and no milk products), and brown gravy. OK. Maybe if I go a couple more times it will grow on me? Had the chicken and waffles which were adequate. Solid diner feel. Went again, five years later. I had the hash which was too heavy on the potatoes for my liking. The wife liked the pancakes and eggs. I wanted to like it more than I did. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The food is so good! And the service is exceptional—about 60 of us flooded the place after an event in the area because we heard it was excellent, and they handled it like pros and served us amazingly. 10/10 recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very good! Came in for breakfast on two separate occasions. Has the waffle breakfast the 1st time and French toast the second. Both times were great! Coffee wasn't amazing, but a small non-issue. First lemme start by saying AMAZING SERVICE. The waitress was super friendly and kind. The restaurant itself wasn’t the cleanest, I have been multiple times to this place and this is probably the worst its been. The food wasn’t up to par like how they used to be. I got my same order, Waffle with strawberries and cream and it was okay. The waffle was dry and hard. The Garbage hash was just huge chunks of potatoes this time as well. Conclusion: The food was okay, the restaurant wasn’t very clean, but service was great. Score: 6/10 👍🏾 Service Dine in

Sadly this place isn’t what it use to be. The place has always looked a little run down but the food usually made up for it. The waitresses were super nice which is the only reason for my 2 stars. The place was freezing cold everyone inside had to wear their coats.The staff didn’t say anything about about it being cold. The food was 3/10 at best. The French toast I ordered was gross no flavor yet the middle looked like raw egg, the biscuits and gravy was dry and undercooked, the wheat toast was burnt to a crisp. Someone in the kitchen was listening to an audiobook or news show really loud. We didn’t really have to wait and had a large group on a Saturday morning (should of been a sign).
