Such a cool spot. We visited Page for the first time over the summer and ate here for dinner. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. We really enjoyed the live music! Absolutely a must try! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food is not as good as I expected. The baby pork rib that I ordered is pretty dry and I wanted chopped beef bbq since I already have pork rib but received pulled pork. We can in at 5:30pm. Waited for a bit for a table which was fine. When our order was taken, we had to change our mind several times due to not having a couple of the meats available. So we were very limited on what we could order. The food we did end up getting, we were not overly impressed with it. It was decent food. The coleslaw was very good! We stopped at this place around 1:30 pm on the way back to Phoenix. It took only 10 minutes to get a table for 4, but there was a bit of a wait for the food. The meat is soft and juicy. Tonight we have one of the good meal. At the first we ordered the Full Rack pork ribs. Rips is so delicious until we have to order another half rack ^^ . For dessert we order the peach pine with ice cream vanilla ,it was so good and big , this dessert can be for two people. Staffs is very nice and kind .The music was so good and so cool. If you want to have nice meal and western cowboy style I recommend you come to dinner here My last recommendation: the rip half rack a little bit expensive I recommend you order full rack is better.

Locals already know about this place. But for us out of town visitors. This is your place. Don't drive by without stopping to eat. The food is off the charts in deliciousness. From the pork ribs that meat falls off to the pulled pork sandwiches. Our server made it worth it. When you go, ask for Kelly. She's wonderful. Funny sense of humor and sincere. OMG this was so unexpected. So I’m a big city boy just passing through Page Arizona. Our hotel was right across the street from Big J’s and we could hear the band the first night we were there and could smell the wood smoke from their BBQ. We had eaten at another couple of places in town and was not impressed. We’d never tried real southern BBQ so we thought, why not? We ate outside in the covered area where the band played. It was perfect; picnic tables with checkered table clothes and pillar heaters everywhere. We were seated at a long table with a local couple and we struck up a conversation which we absolutely love. My wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich and I had the chopped salad with the brisket. I nearly died! It was so, so good. The beer was the perfect touch. We finished the meal with an apple cobbler. I had to admit that I liked the crust better than her mother’s recipe. (Tough conversation) The Indians & Cowboys band was playing and their choice of music was the perfect accompaniment to the meal and atmosphere. You must eat here if you’re in town. Ice cream was good - brisket & pulled pork were good with their variety of bbq sauces. Ribs were the worst, came out somewhat cold too. Ice cream was good! We got both brown sugar cinnamon and almond mocha fudge. So glad I got a chance to try Big John's texas bbq as we passed through Page, Arizona on our way to Antelope Canyon. This restaurant is laid back and efficient. Food is served shortly after our orders. One dish I was most impressed with was the Sampler that has a bit of everything: Beef brisket Pulled pork Baby back ribs Spicy linked sausage Everything was so tender and tasty. I wish Page Arizona is closer so I can revisit whenever I feel like an amazing bbq!!

Solid BBQ joint. Brisket & Pulled Pork both good. Sides are basic staples of beans, potatoes salad and coleslaw, nothing fancy, but again solid sides. The menu overall is pretty basic, but that can be a good thing. Inside and outside dining available. Great atmosphere sitting outside and watching the big smokers cooking away right next to the side walk. We ate there 2 days in a row.
