So right when I walk in, it looks very nice on the inside, and it was quick to get a table, and the bathrooms are nice. I got my food and one of them was the pizza, the pizza was not the best, the burger I got was pretty good, and it took a fair amount to get our food. The service is very good, now if you want a refill with drinks, it took a bit long but that was the only thing, there desert is very good, my experience at this place is very good, I recommend going here. My husband and I stopped by BJ's for our 18 year Anniversary lunch. We were served by Layne and the food was phenomenal as usual. However, the reason for this review is actually to highlight Layne. Layne was an absolute sweetheart! Putting aside the high level of professionalism and menu knowledge, Layne was personable and really connected with both of us. Layne took the time to ensure we were comfortable the entire time. Such a welcoming smile and warm soul. We will be asking for Layne from now on... thank you for being such a doll! Boy has it changed. This used to be my favorite go-to restaurant. I used to brag about it and take everybody I know there. Family when they were visiting. Co-workers when we needed a hangout. My kids for a great steak dinner and gluten free pizza! It was one of the first dates I took my son to when he turned 16. The food has changed. The menu has changed. The service has changed. They have limited their gluten-free options as well. Too many changes. Tonight the service was extremely slow. It felt like the server went on vacation every time he came to the table and then left again. We had to send the food back because it was cross-contaminated. We ordered the loaded nachos with chicken and we found pieces of pork in it. The Frozen mango drink was weak. The best part of the dinner I would say was the dessert because they had a $2.29 special.... And it's one of the few places where I can find a gluten-free dessert 🍪 ! I am really hoping if we decide to go back again that we get better service. There is one server that was extremely attentive to his customers and his area was moving and shaking. I wish I knew his name. He reminds me of a young Eddie Murphy. If we go back again I would definitely sit in his area. I give him 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and he wasn't even our server tonight. This is my favorite BJ’s location. It is always clean, the staff are always friendly, and the food service is always quick and tasty. However, what made my lunch extra special today was the waiter/server Chris (with the ginger beard). He was very personable, fun, and truly hilarious. Not only that, he made sure my family and I had everything we needed before we needed it. Can’t wait to come back and when I do, I hope I get Chris again! Round Rock location. Good food, server, Christopher (red beard, rose hand tattoo), was very on point. Pleasant demeanor, accommodating, and kept our drinks full the entire time.
