If I could give 0 stars I could. We have been customers here for almost 20 years. The food has always been the best and the customer service had been exceptional until today. I made an order through Grubhub and when we received the order we had three missing items. We also did not receive lemon, butter for the bread (which I payed for extra), and horseradish as part of the order. I called the San Lorenzo location hoping to get a refund or get the missing items in a new order. Whoever answered the phone could have cared less about the situation. When I asked for a manager she told me, "I am the manager". I am not sure if that's the case because I know the front desk answers the phone and my phone call was not transferred elsewhere. She was completely rude and passive aggressive. Overall, she told me that they could not issue a refund and that I had to make a new order on the website and pay again. I am attaching the photos of my order here and the receipt so no one can say that I made this up. It is completely unacceptable to have multiple items missing in an order and being told by whoever answers the phone, "the kitchen staff is overwhelmed". I also wanted to point out that the amount of fries that I got was unacceptable, as well as the burned asparagus. The tiny piece of salmon was also unacceptable for the price. Been wanting to try the Whiskey Pairing dinner because it seems like a steal at $45 in the Bay Area for three courses + three whiskey cocktails. If you're in the mood to drink and you're starving, it's totally worth it! You can't pick your courses or drinks, so make sure they are all sounding great before you get your heart set on this dinner. Starts with chicken tender and a peach-jalapeno mule. Definitely the best cocktail of the set, and be sure you have someone to help you eat some tenders! I quite like the batter. Second course is filet mignon with roasted brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, and I sprung to add the jalapeno cream sauce because I think it's a fun flavor. I've had Black Angus's old fashioned before, and this one was not up to snuff....but still drinkable. 😉 Final course! Carrot cake with an espresso whiskey martini. Be sure you have a friend for this one, too - it's a large slice. Both made for a fine end to the meal. Of course, there's always their brown bread loaf, too! If you're feeling up to the challenge, the Whiskey Pairing dinner really is a good deal for $45. Chicken tenders and fried shrimp were very strange. ordered chicken tenders again at a later date, and they still had a weird texture. The shrimp I received was severely freezer burned, and they cooked and served them to me anyway. Other than that, everything was great. The vegetable appetizers were amazing. Happy to share a special meal with my spouse. Quieter than other popular restaurants. Great menu variety, and their adult beverages are very tasty. Wish they had more variety showing on all the TVs; one sports game on all; maybe news w/cc, or some other type of sports or tv show w/cc? Great food, great service. I brought my girlfriend for her birthday And I asked the staff to surprise her. as soon as we sat down, our waitress says oh, it's your birthday.. So much for the surprise. then they sat us down Next to next to a group of 16. Which made it impossible for us to have quiet dinner together. We had great food good service. Seems like nobody ever cleans the bathroom in this place. when you spend that much money on a meal. You expect the bathrooms to be clean. These were really bad. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
