The concept of cooking your own meat/fish is not unique to Blackstone but is still a sociable, enjoyable way to eat dinner. I ordered the lamb fillet, served with pommes frites and a rather meagre plate of rocket and one cocktail tomato. The meat was delicious but I would have appreciated an extra small plate on which to place the meat still to be cooked. As it was, the blood from the raw meat seeped into the salad, not pleasant! The lady in our party who’d ordered fish, however, did receive her raw fish on its own plate … The dessert menu was not huge but those who ordered the chocolate bomb were very impressed; I ordered the tarte tatin which, although tasty, was a small portion. I would have preferred to receive whipped cream instead of ice cream, but this was not possible. The service was exemplary; efficient and pleasant staff. Pricewise, it was expensive for the amount of food received. A nice restaurant to eat in with a larger party, as the tables are spaced out and the acoustics are good.
