The recipe for success of this bar is its perfectly cooked coconut shrimps, lobster ravioli and red soup. It's time to relax and degust good cheesecakes, potato waffles and bread pudding. The wine list is extensive, it can satisfy the needs of all clients. Great ice tea goes well with the nice meal. The staff is pleasant that's what makes Blackwater Bistro so nice. Eclectic bar/restaurant located in downtown Milton. It’s a charming area and the restaurant is very cute and has a vibe of its own going on. Very nice! Service was amazing and the food was equally good. There was live music and a large group of people hanging out in the bar area having fun a great time. The bar area is adjacent to the main seating area so if you aren’t in the bar, you still can feel part of the music. It’s a really neat place. Only downside - no paved parking. Don’t wash your car and then go! Quaint eatery near downtown, Main Street. Park across the street in the lot or behind the building. Great date spot for Friday evening live music and delicious chef prepared food. We're talking fresh, homemade, unique and flavorful dishes served by really friendly staff in a historic downtown home that's been converted into the Blackwater Bistro. I originally had lunch here with my coworkers and was so impressed my husband and I returned and thoroughly enjoyed dinner. Our waitress, Josie, was a great resource for dinner recommendations. My husband had the Creole Trio Pasta and I had the Chicken Divine. We were both impressed with the quality and quantity of our meals. We completely cleaned our plates, which seemed to be a theme as I saw tables being bussed with consistently empty plates. Full disclosure, we over-ate even opting to indulge in a shared dessert of bread pudding and ice cream. We went to Crestview Florida to visit family a week before Christmas and we went to Blackwater Bistro. My wife and I want to give a special thanks to Allison (Ali) for her special treatment to us. We have being going for about 14 years to this restaurant and the quality of the food is always excellent, customer service the best and the atmosphere is great. It is funny because we went for first time just by accident, my wife needed to use the restroom and after she finished, we decided to eat here and give a try..... them we felt in love with the restaurant. $$ Visited after dinner rush on a Tuesday. Easy parking, no wait for seating. Menu had choices in middle to upper middle price range for seafood and land lover alike. We had the Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap, Fish of the Day (baked grouper with creamy lemon sauce) and the Reuben sandwich. Also ordered the Coconut shrimp appetizer. The service was exceptional, our server was pleasent, engaging and efficient, drink service was great. The appetizer was very good and the dipping sauce with it was really good. The grouper was exceptional, perfectly baked and paired well with the sauce and the garlic mashed potato side. The Chicken Bacon Ranch wrap was really tasty. The Reuben was phenomenal (my choice). The meat was perfect, not too salty, and the kraut was fresh. All the food came out hot and ready to enjoy. The exceptional service by our server was just icing on the cake. If you are in the Florida panhandle near Milton, this place is worth a visit. Go, you won't be disappointed. Five stars.
