My wife and I have enjoyed Blu Star Grill for many years. The food has always been amazing and fresh and it was again when we went there last night with our friends. One feels that the ingredients are chosen carefully. Preparation has always been consistently good. The owner always comes by for a chat. The salmon last night was the best. Many choices of burgers, wraps, and a careful selection of entrees including shrimp, mahi mahi, premium meatloaf, elk, chicken etc. We were back there again and had some fabulous pasta. Here is an example of attention to detail. I asked for a spoon and it came on a napkin on a plate. Experienced wait staff and team waiting result in great service. We love this place! All their food is good but we usually get the chicken Caesar salad. Nelson the owner is amazing and comes out to greet everyone and they give out really yummy cookies at the end of your meal. Great place for a really good burger. We had the Swiss and mushroom burger and the Carolina burger. Made to order and the patty had great beefy flavor. Can't go wrong. We will be back. Oh, we also got a fresh cookie at the end. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

An excellent experience. I had the mellow mushroom burger on a brioche bun with mac n cheese. The burger had a very pleasant flavor with the garlic aioli, and the bun was fantastic. It was nice to see that the burger was stacked properly with lettuce and tomato on the bottom. Food came out fairly quick, and the staff were very friendly. I believe the owner talked with us for a bit and told us about the various options for making your own burger and where the meat is sourced from. i ordered the build your own burger, and my order came out correct! i really like the their garlic aloli here. i ordered the key lime pie here- not the best ive had, but it was refreshing on a hot day. waitresses were nice and made sure we had drinks throughout the entire meal. I found this place strictly by location and reviews! We ordered the mellow mushroom burger with house made chips and the triple decker club with fries. The food was excellent, service was excellent, atmosphere also excellent! We came for the shrimp and grits, which is served after 4pm, we will come back another evening to try those! I love the family friendly atmosphere here. It seem to be family owned. I think the guy who came to our table was the owner who explained the menu to us in great detail and he seem passionate about where their food comes from which I liked.
