We ate there for my fiancé's birthday on 1/18. Hostess offered us a table outside but next to heaters still with a view of the water. Server did a good job of steering us in the right direction with food choices-we're kind of foodies so we like suggestions. Big portion of calamari. My fiancé got the specialty fish and it was excellent. Very elegant inside with white table cloths and napkins so we didn't feel weird dressed up. Definitely a great spot for a special dinner. Boccaccio's is a hidden gem with breathtaking lake views overlooking Westlake. My family and I went there for our New Year's Eve dinner and were blown away by the experience from start to finish. Even though they understandably had a condensed menu for the holiday, the options did not disappoint. We started with their signature crab cakes, which were stuffed with fresh crab meat and delicately fried to a beautiful golden brown. As pasta lovers, we had to try the mushroom and spinach ravioli, which was elevated to a whole new level with the creamy sauce. The main highlight for me was the New York steak, cooked perfectly medium-rare just as I asked. Each bite of the exceptionally tender and flavorful meat melted in my mouth. The sides were also executed impressively, from the garlic mashed potatoes to the fresh vegetables. The highlight that tops the food is that even though there was a rather large party behind us that initially intruded our space- it turns out they were the owner's party and the owner himself came over to apologize to my family and I! El lugar es lindo, hemos ido muchas veces pero bajo su calidad, la comida medianamente. Se pidió risotto y llegó una papilla de bebe, se le dijo al mesero y preguntó que si se pido arroz pues eso era arroz? Ignorante de como se es un RISOTTO. Al ver que su comentario fue incorrecto trato de decir que lo cambiaba. Solo se quería pedirle al Chef que ponga atención. Yo pedí un Cabernet Savignon me sirvieron un vino dulce, sin aroma.... Y mi ensalada era una plasta de verdura.(no me la termine la quiinoa estaba dura, mal cocida) Para rematar sin decir nada nos llega un plato enorme un "pastel" de helados con crema. Decimos que no es nuestro y después de que vino el "gerente" dijeron que era para poner algo dulce en la mesa. Mismo que regresamos no comemos helados. En fin para terminar llega el mesero para pagar la cuenta, le pasa la máquina (con la tarjeta) y la cantidad no es la misma que esta en el ticket (86.51 dlls) y en su maquina decía 103.81 y dice: Es por el 20% de propina !!?. El mismo se puso su propina... Por un rato no iremos ahí, en el mismo lugar hay dos restaurantes que también hemos ido y la verdad muy buenos.
