My recent experiences at Bolu Hanzade Restaurant left me utterly impressed and craving more. Nestled along the route from Ankara to Istanbul, and equally inviting on the return journey, this charming eatery has quickly become a must-visit destination for anyone passing through Bolu. The restaurant's warm ambiance, authentic Turkish cuisine, and exceptional service make it a standout gem that deserves every bit of praise. Upon our first visit, we were immediately struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere of Bolu Hanzade. Run by a dedicated team of four ladies, the restaurant exudes a homely charm that is both comforting and welcoming. The warm and friendly service only added to the inviting ambiance, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped through the door. The centerpiece of our visits, however, was undoubtedly the food. The menu at Bolu Hanzade offers a tantalizing array of authentic Turkish dishes that are nothing short of spectacular. From the moment our first bites touched our lips, we knew we were in for an unforgettable culinary journey. Each dish we sampled was a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing the rich flavors and traditional recipes that define Turkish cuisine. The lamb fry and chicken soup were among the standout dishes that left an indelible impression on our taste buds. The flavors were simply out of this world, and it was evident that every dish was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. I was introduced by a friend to this tiny, but o so cosy and busy restaurant. There are only a few tables and they rotate many times. The Chef Mustafa makes a series of dishes and some specials depending on the day. First day I had some meat soup, I never ate before. This was a delicious starter, and after I just chose with the finger what I wanted as those dishes in English I wouldn't know. The rice was a pilaf rice with so much nice flavours in it. And then there was this eggplant dish with peppers, tomatoes cooked in the oven. So as we left the chef told my friend how he didn't introduce me better to his kitchen as I didn't try the specials. I decided to come back the next day and let chef choose for me. So I had a seemingly ordinary white bean dish in a light red sauce, it was very tastefull, together with the little plate of lamb pieces. Then there was another lamb meat dish, with the same rice from before. It was very delicious. I am sure today I am back in Bolu I will go there again. Oh and it's very possible the restaurant is sold out of food as the chef makes everything fresh from 3 am. Opens at 0700 and closes latest at 5. Did I mention the service is splendid. The service from the owner and staff was outstanding. Even they speak limited English but they try to use google translator. I don't know what to choose in the menu until the owner help me to choose and turn to be the most delicious soup in Turkeye i ever had.
