I’ve lived in Columbus for four years now and had never been here but last night they did not disappoint! Let’s start with the food, We started with the bang bang Crab fries. I don’t eat seafood whatsoever, which worried me coming here, but my amazing server, let me know that I could still be accommodated for no problem. With the crab on the side, my partner still thought it was so good! The fries and sauce alone were some of the best fries we’ve ever had. He enjoyed his old fashion especially the presentation and my martini flight and French75 definitely hit the spot as well! We finished a Caesar (very good) then came our Entrees. He got the sirloin and shrimp and I got the lemon caper butter chicken and both were amazing!! My chicken so was juicy, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Finding a properly cooked steak and a chicken breast that isn’t dry/bland had become so hard to come across around town lately but the cooks here showed out for sure. We had to take boxes or our server would have had to wheel us out of there. Now on to the service, huge shoutout to the Hostess and Our Server Jill for helping my partner make my night so special for me🥹 Reading the other reviews Jill definitely lived up to the hype. Such a sweet spirit. Customer service was amazing! My overall experience was just too good! The food was delicious. Our server Camilla was amazing. She knew the menu inside out and made fabulous recommendations (I asked about several different dishes lol). We will definitely be coming back. This is usually my go to spot when me and my wife are undecided and it's usually very good. However tonight it was a big miss. They left out our Risotto, the trout was so bland, for a almost $5.00 portion of rice I only got literally a tiny amount, it didn't even fill half the small container it was in, the beef and ginger dumplings were soggy with soy sauce, since it was a to go order you would think they would put the sauce in a separate cup, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel with the bang bang shrimp and the salad. So I was gonna just eat the salad and shrimp just to start eating and saw some spoiled lettuce. Also there was a bag of spoiling, wilted looking lettuce. I'm so disappointed with my dinner tonight. Experience starting amazing with just speaking to River on the phone! Her attitude and personality made me excited to enter Bonefish Grill ! Then Jill was a joy as she was our server! So sweet and made the experience here an absolute joy! Victor was also an amazing manager ! Not many managers will be helping their employees while they are weeded so it was great to see! The food was overpriced for the taste. The atmosphere was pretty good. Our server was kind of upset when we wanted to move from a crowd of people. Body language speaks volumes, although we did leave a nice tip. Would we return. Yes, to give it one more try, but if it is the same service, we will not be back. We had my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner on 1/28/24 with a party of 13. We could not have picked a better place. From the day I made the phone call to make reservation to the night we left, everyone was exceptional. Upon arriving the hostess greeted us and made us feel as if they were so glad we had chosen to have our celebration at Bonefish. Then came our AMAZING server, Camilla. This lady did a fantastic job the entire time we were there which was 4:30 until alittle after 7:00. Our appetizers were out promptly, our drinks were never empty and our food was served to perfection. Then during our dinner, here comes the General Manager to talk with us & make sure everything was good. It was just perfect!!! Also it is very rare that you have a party of 13 and no one complains about anything… We had zero complaints. This was a really nice, fresh, light meal here at Bonefish. For our apps me and another person in my party got the Crab-topped bang fries and the other person in our party got the Tempura Crunch Sashimi Tuna. They thought the sashimi was nice and fresh and the tuna melted in your mouth. For the Fries it was nice and flavorful and the Bang Bang sauce is just to die for. For our main courses we got the Cod Imperial, Fish & Chips, and a New Year’s Eve special which was grouper with a smoked tomato butter. The Cod Imperial was just amazing and was a nice meal. It did not way you so much down so it was a nice light meal. The Fish & Chips were nice. The batter made a nice crunchy shell and the fish itself was nice and flaky. The grouper was fire grilled to perfection with a nice zesty tomato butter. The parmesan risotto that comes with it was also really nice. The bang bang shrimp is always banging! Food was great, atmosphere was decent, but the service was below par. By the time the server greeted us we already figured out our entire order. Thankfully the drinks came fast. The server did check on us after our food was delivered but afterwards we were left alone, no drink refills or check ups and eventually we had to send someone to find her just so we could get our checks, upon which we had to send her back to fix them. Even still no drink refill offer, but I digress. If it had been busy I could have over looked this issue but as you can see from the picture it was not quite busy. Update... returned to Bonefish to try the new menu and watermelon martini:)! It was delicious. We went in for a quick dinner and cocktail after signing on a new house:)!! The service was fast, and the bartender was very good. I had a mango pomegranate cosmo and then tried the white winter cosmo...delicious. I had the new crab fries as an appetizer, and my husband had the imperial dip and bonefish signature pasta. We will definitely return. Great experience. First time eating in here tonight and it was a great experience. Staff greeted us quickly. It was Sunday night and the place wasn’t packed. We were able to get a table immediately. We had the crab fries for an appetizer. I ordered the Bonefish pasta with salmon and it was very good. Noodles came out piping hot and the salmon was very tender and juicy.
