Lovely diner by the sea - views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island when the weather is clear. We saw a couple of beautiful rainbows. The captain's plate is a nice assortment of deep-fried cod, prawns, oysters, popcorn shrimp, and clam strips. I would choose French fries over mashed potato. The mashed potato and gravy weren't good. Exceptional char-grilled burgers. Fries and tots are good and crispy. Salad bar looked good, but we needed the burgers after hiking all morning. Highly recommend, best place in area, might be only place in the area actually. Will be closed Oct 31 2023 to Feb 14 2024 for winter. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The definition of homey. Cozy, loving crew and atmosphere -- our welcome to the area and we couldn't have been more fortunate to stumble into this bowl of chili and amazing plate of pie.
