During a recent business trip, I stumbled upon Brigantine while searching for nearby dining options. Situated conveniently close to my hotel, I was intrigued by the menu offerings. What started as a casual dinner plan turned into a delightful two-night dining experience. On the first night, I savored the grilled swordfish tacos, which were nothing short of fantastic. The fish was impeccably cooked and harmonized beautifully with the fresh ingredients and flavorful sauce in the taco. Returning the following evening, I indulged in the miso glazed grilled salmon, resting on a bed of sautéed veggies and puréed cauliflower. Each bite was simply sublime--I even contemplated seconds! Both dishes were presented with an artistic flair, matching the delightful service provided by the staff. The restaurant boasts a charming patio, complete with heaters that added warmth to both body and soul. Brigantine in Imperial Beach is undoubtedly a gem of an establishment. I left eagerly anticipating my next visit, eager to explore more of their enticing menu offerings. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience! This review is specifically for the happy hour. Love Brigantine. I have been to the Coronado location a few times. I decided to try the Imperial Beach location after learning via a promotional email (see pic) that all locations do a happy hour with $7 "small plates" on Mondays starting at 3:00 p.m. I checked the menu on their website and was excited as their Small Plates section is pretty extensive. Unfortunately, it is too good to be true. The Small Plates menu for happy hour is different and is much more limited. I have included a pic here, as it is not on the website. Brigantine should post the happy hour menu to be clear about this promotion and should change the wording in their marketing materials from "small plates" to "selected small plates" or the like, to make the differentiation clear. What is on offer for happy hour is what you would expect - in short, nothing special. Definitely not worth going out of your way for. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The sever was nice. Sam was super attentive. The bartender couldn't care less. Waited 10min for a drink while he chatted. Then once he was told about our drink.. he said he didn't care.
