Cheese sticks should be renamed to Cheese logs, you get 4 and there big and delicious. Trout and club sandwich were good. Very friendly staff. My only complaint would be its a bit pricey. Went there to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was informative and friendly. Had the special which was pulled pork. It was tender and delicious. Had complimentary dessert bananas foster cake moist and good. I will be back when we ca sit outside to enjoy the river. The service, food and atmosphere were great. Our family of 6 had dinner and maybe because it was a cold day, there wasn’t too many people so we got to experience the place when it wasn’t full. We had the fish and chips, trout and chicken tenders and cheese sticks for appetizer. The cheese sticks were good but so thick lol The chicken tenders were delicious and so was the trout, the fried fish needed a little bit more flavor but I added some Lemon and salt and voila! We enjoyed everything about our visit but I would like to warn that the tip is already included in your check. I was surprise to see it on my bill as the server never mentioned to us and they charge over 20% of the amount of your check so beware of that when you order. Our server was great so we had no problem with giving her over 20% but what if she had sucked? Oh well, we would have been stuck with a 20+% tip. The portion of the fried pickles was easily 2x what is pictured- we simply could not wait to dig in 😋 the old line railroad platter (epic burger & "river winders" as well as coleslaw) was delicious! Definitely recommend! Staff, service, food and setting were phenomenal, thank you! We were super excited about eating here and maybe had high expectations. And i will say The atmosphere was great and the view was even better. We sat outside which overlooked the river and that was pleasant. We had a group of 6 and all tried different things including an appetizer. I have to say the food didn't live up to my expectations. I had bourbon glazed salmon and it Lacked flavor. Someone else got fettuccine and literally had to order another entree because it was so bad. The Philly steak plate was pretty good and the shrimp tacos were good (so I'm told). Another person in our group got that. The river winder (potato wedges basically) were the best thing to all of us. The service was good and the cheesecake was a hit with our group. Other than that we were not extremely satisfied with the food. But the experience and atmosphere was good.

The haloween decorations were very good. Kids liked it a lot. Must visit place for the Blue Ridge Scenic drive (4 hour) tours. The rover side view was very good to spend some time. Takes a 20-minute car drive from Blur Ridge.

Great atmosphere and location! Right on the river with plenty of seating both outside and inside. Burgers, club sandwich, salmon and fried pickles were all great!

If you come on the train, hustle over there ASAP to beat the crowd. They handle the rush really well and the staff were all friendly and set our expectations on how long it would take to be seated. Great burger, perfectly cooked.

Y'all, we were on vacation and we went on July 12, my birthday actually! This place was hands down one of the best restaurants we have been to! The waitress was super nice and friendly. BUT the food was so delicious and amazing. The stuffed baked potato (it has a different name), was SO good! I got the surf and turf for my entree and everything was so delicious and perfect! We stopped here during a layover on the train and wouldn't recommend it. We ended up arriving very quickly which helped with beating the rush, getting a better table, and our food out quicker. The food was good and service was good. It's apparent from the prices that you really pay for the view. We spent more here for lunch than we have for any other dinner. We ordered a kids cheeseburger and what we got was literally just a beef patty and lettuce. When we asked for the cheese they charged us $1 for a single slice. It was $10 for a child to eat. We wished we had stopped at one of the other local eateries which seem like less of a tourist trap.
