Had the chicken and waffles, and it was excellent. Very generous portion size. The only negative for our meal was that it took a very long time for the food to be prepared, as there was only one cook at the beginning, even though not many patrons. I always love coming here. The food is delicious. it's always a hard pick between their French toast or loaded quesadilla. Their fancy latte flavors are awesome. Never disappointed, and always a lot of food for a good price. Highly recommend if you've never come here to eat. do it! Cafe Brazil has a lovely coffee bar in the morning allowing you to have unlimited coffee of different flavors and varieties. I had their chicken and waffles and my wife had their original breakfast with bacon, eggs, and potatoes. Everything was cooked well and had good flavor. The waffle was a little burnt on one side but still good. The service was good but also a little inattentive. This is a nice brunch place and the fact it is open 24/7 allows for you to enjoy it anytime. First time visiting a CB. We went around 900am. I ordered that pulled chicken chilaquiles. The bean soup as it was described was really good. The chilaquiles didn’t have much flavor other than the salt and pepper I added. Overall it was good. I’ll return again and try something different. This was my 3rd visit to Cafe Brazil in Richardson. The experience was so much worse than previous excellent visits that I felt I had to write, to make sure that management reads this. The restaurant wasn't crowded due to the very cold weather, so there was no excuse. I ordered the same item as my previous two visits - the western omelette. 1) All the veggies were scorched in the omelette. I didn't think it would make a difference taste-wise, but it did. I should have sent it back when it was served, but didn't think it would be a problem, so ended up eating it. 2) I thought the omelette was small upon seeing it, but didn't question it. I later became convinced it definitely was only a 2-egg omelette (the menu advertised 3). The reason I know this is because I can never finish a 3-egg omelette, but did so without any issue today. And no, I wasn't that hungry when walking in. 3) The potatoes accompanying the omelette weren't tender, and the toast wasn't cooked. Perhaps someone new was working in the kitchen? Or the regular chef didn't show up and someone pinch-hit? The greeter as well as the server were both very friendly. That being said, the greeter said he would put me "somewhere warm", but sat me next to a window. :{ There were plenty of empty tables that weren't by a cold window - what was he thinking? The server did move me upon request. Also, I asked for water, but had to ask for it again when the food arrived. I could understand if the restaurant was crowded &the server forgot, but it was not - again because of the extreme cold outside. Both of these were minor issues that were resolved, but it prevents me from giving the service a 5-star review. I have recommended this restaurant to several friends based on my first 2 experiences, but now am rethinking this. Whereas the service was okay except for the minor things mentioned above, the food was definitely WAY BELOW PAR. Had the loaded cheese fries. They do include sliced jalapeños, but I had them left out. Love the fact that there is freshly cooked bacon, Cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheese on it. This results in a fabulous final flavor profile. Would have it again. By the way, Cheddar is a small town in the United Kingdom where Cheddar cheese was historically first invented. I visited this establishment for brunch with my family. We had the Southwest Chorizo Rolls for a starter, which were delicious. I then ordered the Migas plate with egg whites, smoked turkey, and a side of rosemary potatoes. My plate was slick with oil, which pooled in areas of the food. The potatoes for my family and me were underseasoned and on the tough or hard side. They are not undercooked, but it seems as if they have been sitting out for a while. Not a bad visit. My first time here, I would say overall it was a good experience. The burger was just your basic burger, not bad at all the fries were the best part in my opinion. Next time I would like to try the chicken and waffles. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their food. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
