We haven’t been to Calo in a few years. I remember liking the ambience but thought the food was just okay. Came in for lunch to try it again today since the restaurant next door had over an hour wait. I had the short rib enchiladas. The server recommended them and I love enchiladas. They were not good. They were also tiny and had a weird cheesy sauce that tasted terrible. Like nacho cheese sauce. The bottom was hard and I could barely cut it with my knife. My daughter and I shared them and we both didn’t like them at all. They were served with boring white rice and the same black beans you get for free with your chips. At $29 I expected them to be amazing. This place is way overpriced. I thought Javier’s was over priced but at least their enchiladas are amazing. I do have to mention that the chips and guacamole are very good. Service was good. We won’t be back.

Good ain't cheap. Cheap ain't good. Small-ish indoor dining area. Outdoor seating that backs up to Crown Valley raceway is available. Bar seating fun and lively. Fresh, well crafted beverages for all palate types. Recommend the Salmon Asado or Fajita & Avocado salad with Chicken.
