I had wanted to try this place for a while because of their back story of how the restaurant started after their successful meal prep business. It's amazing that they are able to make that transition.
I am not an expert on Carribean meals or flavors, so this is just my own personal taste and opinions. Here's my recommendations/ opinions:
Atmosphere: I love the tropical vibe the entrance gives off. It's like an introduction to the rest of the restaurant. The teal works in there. It's a nice atmosphere with the flowers in the hallway leading to the bathroom. The teal color chairs and booth are nice. To really level up the restaurant, they can add more flowers to the ones already hanging to make it more lush.
Service: We can't complain about our server. She was nice and efficient. She gave us enough time to think about what we wanted instead of rushing us through.
Food: The appetizers we had were delicious. The oxtail we had was a little too sweet for our taste. We like our oxtail to be more savory. Also, we prefer our oxtail without dumplings in it. Another thing we noticed is that the gravy or sauce on the oxtail was a little thick. Also, we think the oxtail would taste better on a bed of white rice. However, the oxtail itself was well cooked.
My recommendations:
1. The coconut shrimp.
2. Taste of jerk Tostones.

We visited back in September. No wait before being seated. The food was good. The wings were very spicy. The atmosphere is nice; very pretty. The drinks are super strong. The funnel cake was the best thing on the menu that night, even though it took forever to get it.

My husband and I went for a lunch today and it was AMAZING!! It was our 2nd time there. We love this place...we had the jerk chicken quesadilla and rasta pasta. It was wing Wednesday and so we took some home to go. The rum punch and strawberry lemonade were on point. Our server, Ms. Camille C. (who is also the owner...I believe) was down to earth and very attentive. We will definitely be back

Soooo good. The shrimp and grits were delicious! Perfectly seasoned, the grits were a little soupy, shrimp wonderfully crunchy. Ms. Sheryl is THE sweetest woman, make sure to tell her hi and thank you. I definitely recommend trying them out for a good filling meal and good drinks. The atmosphere is cute and airy, makes the experience even more worth it.

Read the Yelp reviews and decided to pop in. Food was great and when I asked for “mild” spice it came mild and the flavor was good. I had the Rasta Pasta with chicken and hubby had goat curry which was also great. We had an appetizer and drinks. Ended with dessert! It was a special event and there was live music by Audley Scott and we were rocking back and forth the whole meal, dancing and singing along.

This place surpassed my expectations! I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to and after you try this restaurant you will to. Every single appetizer we tried made you want to go back there and the chef a hug and tip him personally.
The waitress and server was very attentive and polite despite being the only one there. The entire restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Best of all, it’s black owned! Thank you! We’ll be back for sure!

Food: jerk chicken 3 stars it was a lot of jerk paste on the chicken. Rice and peas 3 stars, plantain 5 stars, string beans. 4 stars.
Customer service: 5 stars. Nice enough. No rudeness here. They greet you.
Portion sizes: I got a side of plantains, but it was very few in there, maybe 3. If I paid for a side of plantains, I would expect more than that number. String beans size is fine. Rice size is fine. Chicken serving is fine.
Adult beverage: I forgot what I had, but it was not strong enough at all and had too much ice.
Location : 5 stars.. good spot
They have a standard and take pride in what they do.
Recommendations: truly jerk your chicken on a grill outside with charcoal or wood. Increase size of a side of plantains. Maybe a little more coconut milk in the rice and peas. I will be back.

The ambiance is truly fantastic. The Saturday night live DJ enhanced the dining experience, especially with the nostalgic old-school reggae tunes. The old-school chunes brought back good memories. They also played the latest R&B and Rap. Don't miss out on the deep-fried Oreos; although not listed on the menu, inquire about dessert options.

Had the chance to visit Cameals for brunch. When you walk in everything is so beautiful and you get welcoming vibes instantly. The service was great it was our waitress first day and she did a great job. The food was delicious. I had the fish and grits which was seasoned just right. I will be back to try the dinner menu.

Our waitress was not the nicest but the owner and the chef were the kindest most humble people I’ve met. The food was amazing. I never thought to try a waffle at brunch but I’m so glad I did. The chicken was perfect and crispy. I thought the prices were high but honestly so worth it. My family and I will be back for as long as they’re here.
