Was in the mood for fried fish and decided to try the Coop because of the positive reviews. So glad I did! Ordered the fish dinner. The cod was fresh, crispy, and delicious. Most people waiting in the small waiting area seemed to be regulars and many were greeted by name. Love that kind of community feeling. Awesome food, great prices and service. Will be back! Well you don't get ANY fresher unless you harvest yourself. She puts the chicken in Ind baskets upon your order so always hot and fresh. So many reasonable combos and sides . Great lady but plan on waiting awhile as there's no one to answer phone for pre order, always a line, and it s fresh so has to cook. It's obvious this is a well-loved place as half of the people who came in were greeted by name. Easy to see why. Good food, great prices. Their efficiency was amazing. Our meals were cooked to order in 9 minutes. In that time, they served several other customers. Most had ordered ahead. If you're looking for ambience, this ain't your place. But if you're looking for hole-in-the-wall, neighborhood fried chicken and fish, it might be.

Food is DELICIOUS here. They never have enough staff so give those ladies your patience!!! Every time I've been there my food is made fresh as I order. The mushrooms are INSANE. My co workers and I are in the area from it off state, and needed a last minute food spot for a birthday. We decided on the Chicken Coop and are so glad we did! The chicken was awesome, and the service was great. They were slammed during our pick up time, but they still accommodated our order that we placed that afternoon. Thank you so much, we will be back!
