Located perfectly in the heart of Tahoe City, this restaurant exceeded all expectations. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive. Now, let's talk about the food – exquisite doesn't even begin to describe it. The octopus appetizer was cooked to perfection. The scallops risotto was a combination of flavors, beautifully presented. And let's not forget the desserts! Each bite was a delight, leaving us wanting more. But what truly set this restaurant apart was their thoughtful gesture of having a "round of beverages for the kitchen staff" on the menu. It's these little touches that make all the difference. Everything was amazing. I've been to many restaurants that charge around the same price for sub par food. This place delivered on every single thing we ordered. The wild boar was phenomenal. The duck was the best I've ever had. The beef cheek was perfect as an appetizer with the bread. Even the croassant bread pudding dessert was perfect. Absolutely blown away. To begin with, I rarely leave any reviews, but this is one of those times. I was headed to Christy Hill for a casual dinner, but ended up having a meal in France. We were welcomed by a delightful host, who instantly offered us the best table of all. Obviously, it captured my interest right from the start. After the first bite of my food — I realised that the wait was totally worth it. I was blown away by the exceptional combination of flavours, ingredients, sauces and presentation. It’s evident that the chef is incredibly talented, as every dish showcased his skill. The food was genuinely outstanding. Christy Hill is the best restaurant in Tahoe City. I want to express a huge gratitude and appreciation to the owner of the place for creating the perfect atmosphere in Christy Hill. Overall, food is exquisite, service is amazing, location is perfect. This restaurant hasn’t even left my thoughts a couple days after. I am truly very impressed. Everything was very well prepared. Each dish had a nice balance of flavors. The highlight for us were the venison tartar and the octopus with a nice char. But really, everything we had was very good. The space had a nice ambience inside. The patio was closed for the season but can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy another delicious meal. The service was fantastic as well.
