🇩🇰 DENMARK (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Something of a pièce de résistance at Copenhagen Corner is the dinner-only plate of forloren hare ($23), Danish-style meatloaf. Two egg-shaped loaves are wrapped in bacon, with two more strips added on top. Mashed potatoes and gravy accompany this pork feast as well as cucumber slices and some cooked vegetables. There is real magic in the Scandinavian habit of putting berry jams on their meat, and the lingonberry jam that is served with this really makes it special. A bite with each of the components on the plate is just about perfection.

02.23.24 I found a hidden gem thru reviewers - thank you so much fellow googlers/yelpers! I came by today after reading reviews yesterday - that was how excited I was to try Danish food 😊 It's located in a strip mall and good parking at lunch time. We tried the appetizer meatballs which came with mashed potatoes and a touch of gravy, pickles, and pickled beets --- totally yum! My mom ordered dessert with coffee - the pastries came with a little bit of sauce - OMG - I wanted to lick the plate 😂 I ordered the open faced sliders of three different kinds - they were beautifully done I didn't want to eat that incredibly deeleeciousnessss creation!!! Service was excellent and server was so very kind to my mom who was not feeling very well when we came in. It ended up to be a rushed lunch visit but I will definitely be back again soon! We tried to make a reservation on a Saturday but wasn’t able to, and the lady on a phone was so apologetic and nice. Came back the next day, and the entire family loved this wonderful place, delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Bratwurst special was amazing, Schnitzel portion was so big that we got half of it to go with a delicious mushroom gravy that was a big hit too! We’ll definitely be back!
