If you happen to be around Aztec Street, visit this bbq. If you have never come across Vegetarian cuisine, you should order a table at Cowgirl. Invite your friends with you to have good mac-n-cheese, burgers and nacho chips. Clients can eat tasty vanilla ice cream, chocolate cakes and chocolate lava cakes at this place. This place is known for delicious margaritas, draft beer or wine. Try great tea, coffee or lemonade. The service staff is courteous that's what makes this spot so good. Quaint atmosphere and a family friendly place. The beer selection is great, many local NM options, and many fun, favorable cocktails. They have a mix of classic BBQ (the sauce may seem a little spicy to some), killer burgers and good SW standards (Chile rellenos, fajitas, etc). If you are looking for a delicious and quite spicy salsa, get the salsa diablo....it is unreal! Visiting Santa Fe for the day. Overall the restaurant was a great experience. Parking is limited and in the rear; there was only one space available and if it hadn’t been, I’m not sure where I would have parked. Downtown seems crowded and there are many tow away zones. Entering through the rear entrance, you’ll be at the bar, which was a little confusing, because the hostess is in the front and there’s no one besides the bartender to direct you to the front. I was very hungry, and worried about the portions. Don’t worry, it’s going to be too much food. I had the sampler, she had the brisket. The brisket was the best I’ve had, you can tell it’s smoked for 14 hours. The sampler was 3-4 ribs, pulled pork, and a piece of bbq chicken, and on the side you have Cole slaw, potato salad (i substituted for corn bread, don’t do that, it was ok but she got the potato salad and it was better) and bbq pinto beans. If you’re from the south, you won’t like the beans, get something else. If you’re from the southwest, you already know. Overall a good choice, our check was $58 (we had two of the house margaritas during happy hour), and our server Martin was very attentive, conversational, and helpful. Phenomenal food, we sat at a table in the bar and our server was amazing, she was so sweet. Wings were great, fries and slaw were bomb, chili was great, and the brisket sandwich was good. Attaching photos for the CURRENT menu prices! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
