Idk what crotchety old folks have been posting these reviews, but what the heck!!! Don’t believe the negative reviews. This place is hands down the best customer service in town. They used to serve my grandparents twice a week for a few decades before my grandma passed, and they always took such good care of them. They keep a warm fire going at all times. The servers are PHENOMENALLY nice, and knowledgeable about the menu. I was avoiding meat at my visit today. My server Crystal helped me find what was right for me. She made my meal with her kind words and hospitality. In a Post-COVID climate it’s easy to let customer service fall to the wayside, but I’ve never experienced that here. 20/10!!! P.s. Crystal really gave me the best customer experience I’ve had at a restaurant in years. I want to thank her personally for going out of her way to make my visit special. We were planning on having a nice lunch together without our school-aged kids. We waited 45 mins for our appetizer to come out. During this time, the waitress ignored our table. We were not offered drinks and there was no explanation as to what was going on with our food. Once we finally got our main course after an hour of sitting, one of our plates had extremely raw chicken. You could tell by the discoloration of the breading and once we cut it, we confirmed that it was indeed raw. We spoke to the shift manager who finally explained the entire situation and why we were waiting so long. She brought new chicken and offered a discount on the check. After reviewing the receipt, we saw that no discount was given and they over charged for our appetizer. Nothing was right with this experience and ruined the rest of our afternoon of shopping before getting the kids from school. I would not recommend this location. We were seated promptly but it took 35-40 mins for fried tenders, and french toast to come through! The waiter didn’t even bother telling us that the food is getting delayed. And when it came it was cold! So not sure what was going on! We have had this experience even in prior visits but that time it was crowded as well! The food was cold the service was horrible and the restaurant was so cold we constantly went to the fireplace to warm up The wait staff was super slow and the manager came to swap the freezing eggs out to hot ones and didn’t say anything or apologize. I will definitely never be back to this location. According to me pancakes are awesome here. Otherwise rest is average. Love their mini maple syrup bottles they are cute guilt free I always pick them up. Gift shop at the entrance is such a distraction in a right way love all their items they are priced reasonably.
