The food is usually better than it was on this visit but it was still far better than most. And as always there service was second to none. My only true issue with Cracker Barrel is when it's time to pay. Instead of paying the server, you have to stand in line up front in the store section where there is already a limited amount of room for the store patrons. BUT ALAS!!! Problem solved. They have online pay. (truth be known, they've probably had ir for quite some time now and im just now catching on thanks to my tech savy kids) Which really makes eating there much more enjoyable. Food is always good but the service needs work. The last time we went it took over 30 minutes just to get our drinks and almost 2 hours to get our food. I would recommend but be prepared to wait a while for just about anything. Service was very slow, drank wasn't filled until the end and nothing was brought to our table as asked. Food was cold, biscuits hard and stale hash brown casserole was old and crusty. Best part was when we paid our bill and the lady at the cash register was happy and said nothing could break her spirit and told us about her husbands treatments working..
