I had lunch there with my father. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and fried apples for me. Fried catfish, potatoes, and carrots for him. The server was pleasant, quickly brought our beverages, took our orders, and returned with hot meals in a reasonable amount of time considering it was the middle of the lunch rush. Quite good! WOW…is ALL that I can say! I had the most Awesome Experience today with server Kelsey! Her attention and attentiveness during my visit to me and her other customers was unmatched. My drink (Unsweetened Tea with NO Lemon 🍋) was never empty before it was refilled and checked to make sure my food was good to my tastes… THANK YOU KELSEY! YOU ROCK 🪨! Our waitress, Anna, had three table in her area. We waited 35 minutes for our food. My husband noticed her peeking out of the kitchen a few times with her phone in her hand. Another waitress have us a to-go box. Then I went up to the second waitress again to ask for our check. The manager then went up to her to let her know we were ready. We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Detroit, and though the restaurant was very busy, we got seated fairly quickly. Our server was great! We had a large group, but she made sure we got everything we ordered correctly. She brought us coffee refills and cream promptly. The food was delicious as always! I was actually disappointed in the food this time. The Southern Fried Chicken I ordered was very dry and not flavorful at all. The fried okra was fine and the salad was great. Have ordered this before and it was much more tasty. Disappointed this time. They weren't very busy and she didn't bring me my drink until I asked for it. The food came out fast which was nice but I hadn't finished my salad yet and my food got cold while I finished my salad. I usually enjoy Cracker Barrel a lot - in fact we had breakfast there Sunday and that was very good but this particular visit was not up to their usual standard.
