I have never had better seafood anywhere! Service is excellent with short wait time depending on time of day. We went at lunchtime but only had less than five minutes wait. Well worth it!! Cute family run. Food was good. The scallops I had were very dry and overdone and doubt that they were local. The shrimp, catfish, deviled crab, hush puppies, baked potato, sweet potato were very good. We got 2 senior 2 choice plates, and prices and portions were excellent. There are tables to sit lakeside and a screened porch to sit on during warmer weather. Service was friendly and fast. I saw a well stocked salad bar and what looked to be local oysters offered in a large portion. Just happened upon this joint and I'm glad I did. My wife had the oyster stew and she loved it. It was made the same way she learned to make it as a little girl. Oysters butter milk.....a thin soup. We also had the Gator bites....delicious...I had the fried chicken lunch special. I am a fried chicken snob.....I thought it needed salt and seasoning but was still decent. Also wished I could of had a beer with lunch. Bottom line....I'd go back. Oh....the young lady who waited on us was very nice and attentive. Dale's seafood at the lake is an experience in itself I know there's one in whiteville and there's one in Tabor City but they just don't do it justice you have to go down to the lake where it belongs to just sit there and have a nice big hot oyster roast and to be able to look out over the water as it comes in and laps against the shore that is what I'm talking about that is what you call a quality establishment.. they go out of their way to make sure all of your food is prepared 100% properly and everything you want is to a tee and they do it every time and they have one of the best stocked salad bars of anywhere around here and it's kept clean and in order it is just absolutely fantastic and the people who work here are some of the nicest and best servers you'll ever deal with in your whole of existence and that says alot. (It was my birthday dinner I got me a oyster roast and it was absolutely phenomenal!!)
