I was invited for a nice dinner with soup, pancake and dessert and each was a beautiful, delicious arrangement. We were welcomed very friendly and seated in a comfy nice place. Soon after we ordered our food was served with a smile and i felt very good taken care of the whole time. The pancake was big and fresh and a good mix of what i wanted and our dessert ( red velvet cake with icecream ) was an absolute dream for me. Ik werd getrakteerd door m'n vriendin op een lunch, een wandelroute en daarna een kop koffie. Het eten was veel en smaakte heerlijk. De soep, de pannenkoek en het toetje was heerlijk. Very nice atmosphere with a log burner, which was very nice after a long walk on a dreary, rainy afternoon. We had tea before we had a bite to eat. The menu doesn't have too many choices, but it does have vegetarian options. You get a lot on your plate for your money, but this does tend to make the pancakes very soggy. Also, the pulled pork was a bit on the chewy side. Friendly service, though. In general, a nice place to put your feet up after an activity like a long walk. Gistermiddag hebben we een bezoek gebracht aan de Appelsche Hof in Appelscha. Parkeergelegenheid is direct naast het restaurant. We hebben e-choppers gereserveerd voor 2.5 uur. Het was een prachtige route door Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold. Mooie omgeving! Bij terugkomst hadden we via Social Deal het High Cocktail arrangement gereserveerd (twee cocktails en een borrelplank). Het duurde uiteindelijk redelijk lang voordat we onze bestelling op het terras door hebben kunnen geven. De cocktails bij de Appelsche Hof zijn heerlijk, zeker een aanrader én betaalbaar. Very much recommended if you are hungry after biking or having climbed in the ‘jongens outdoors’. I had a delicious natural pancake with bacon,apple and a bit of cinnamon. With that I had a kiwi ice-tea, very tasty. Nice staff aswel.

We were recommended De Appelsche Hof as a place to eat while on holiday locally. I had vegetarian chicken skewers and my husband had fish and chips. The portion size was good, food was hot and very tasty. The cost for 2 meals, glass of wine and a coke was 34 euros. I would definitely recommend De Appelsche Hof to others.
