Stopped by for the Saturday Buffet earlier today and it was very good. A decent selection of different items to try and we tried quite a few! Pav Bhaaji ( mashed vegetable gravy and butter buns), Matar Kulcha, Aloo Tiki Chaat, Aloo Vada (listed as vegetarian street snacks)...all very flavorful with the Pav Bhaaji being my favorite of those items. Next up the Basmati Rice with multiple entrée choices of Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo Curry, Tandoori Drumsticks and Naan Bread. The Lamb and the Tandoori Drumsticks were my favorites as the Chicken Biryani was a bit on the dry side (yet still tasty) and the Butter Chicken needed to be replenished the whole time we were there (it was very good as well...what you could get of it). The Gulab Jamun was not for me. I'd describe it as a small honey soaked donut hole...they must be popular as the signage was directing people to just take one at a time...it was okay, just not something that I really liked. Lunch buffet. I appreciated the variety and tried a bite of everything. Mango Lassi (a smoothe mango drink) and hot chai tea were offered on the buffet. I've been to may Indian restaurants and had to order these drinks in addition to the buffet, so this was a pleasant surprise. There was one dish with lamb and it was delicious. Traditionally Indian meals are served sitting on the floor in comfortable clothes. At Delicacy, there are regular booths and chairs AND the option to sit "Indian style" on raised seating. I wish I had taken a picture. Really neat. I have only eaten there once before, about a year ago, and I didn't pay attention to the possible "heat" of the dish I ordered. Still laughing at myself about it. I prefer the buffet and will be back soon. One unfortunate thing that happened that day was that two people came in the back entrance and seated themselves. At the front entrance, there is a sign, Please Wait to be s Seated. The restaurant was busy and the server did not see them sit down. Eventually, they left, visibly upset. Unfortunately, my friend and I understood what happened too late to give the server(s) a heads-up. Lesson: Wait to be Seated. It's worth every bite!! Disappointed. We ate here for lunch before and it was delicious. We had the buffet and everyone agreed it wasn’t very good. The price of the buffet was surprisingly expensive and they added a 20% gratuity. We won’t ever be back for the buffet.
