We enjoyed a broodje warme paling, which is a warm smoked eel bun, and it was absolutely delicious! The location on the waterside is also lovely to sit and enjoy the boats coming by.

Fantastic trip to see the smokery and enjoy some fine eel. Had a rap with Tonny Eyk and the guys. A very kind member of the team gave us a lift to to the train station when we could not find a taxi / thank you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

THE place to go for this Dutch delicacy called 'smoked eel', or 'paling'. Nowhere better than here. Eat in or take away, just as good. Not a large restaurant, just a few simple chairs and tables but that really adds to the authentic atmosphere. Lots of parking available. Terrace outside when it is warm. Can also be reached by boat. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Best eel in town. If you buy an eel sandwich here, you get it on a nice warm sandwich. Really to die for! If you are in the area, pass by to get it, it’s worth the effort! Also good to know; there are two eel smokers next to each other. In my opinion both are equal in quality.
