We had the hardest time finding a breakfast place that served alcoholic beverages (hello, we are kid free for a weekend at the beach) and that a good vibe. This place sat us immediately on a Sunday morning. The service was attentive. Food was delish. Then we found out by accident (we had to pee) that they had a retail/food shop in the back!!! Fresh seafood, amazing jerky and smoked salmon… but best of all?? DANIEL. He works in the back smokehouse (shop I just mentioned) and he’s is the best! He’s is friendly, kind, gracious, proud of his amazing products and he goes beyond the extra mile. If you don’t come here for any other reason, come to meet Daniel!! Came here with my wife on a weekend getaway. Very kind and prompt service. We enjoyed the spicy dip that came with the calamari. My wife’s salmon was tasty (I forgot to ask if farmed or wild). I ordered the clam chowder and really enjoyed it. In fact we took some home because it was too much (see picture…word or warning, “big bowl” is not an exaggeration. Don’t get an appetizer or plan on sharing if you get the big bowl!) and my father -who is a bit snooty about his clam chowder- claimed it was one of the best ones he’s had on the Oregon coast. All 3 of us had delicious meals. I had halibut and it was excellent. The clam chowder was the best I've had in a long time, full of clams and flavor. The staff was courteous and kept our drinks full. This was a cozy place for dinner. We got the fish and chips, clam chowder and steamer clams. All the food was excellent. Soy sauce in with clams was unexpected but interesting. A little high priced but very tasty! I think the owners don't need so much mushroom and tomato in with the clams. The clams were fine w/o butter but they were served with butter which made the dish a little confusing. Butter and soy sauce? I think I would go with one or the other. Clam chowder was good, but not the best on the coast. A very close second for sure! Staff was nice. I would definitely return. Top of the line service, the wait staff make you feel like you’re part of their family. The wine and beer selection is amazing, the brisket is tender, and they even threw in a side of black beans that they don’t have on the menu. We spent a few days in Lincoln City and found the absolutely best food, service, and value in Dory Cove Restaurant! The four of us agree that it was both the best dinner and breakfast! Yes, it is busy, but that is because it's great. We were seated quickly both times, and the wait-staff were prompt, attentive, professional, and yet personal/friendly. I ordered Surf&Turf one night and 2-egg special once for breakfast. Both meals were delicious, hot, and well plated! This was truly the most enjoyable dining experience I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was cozy. They played 50s/60s music the whole time. And the food was incredible! Truly the best clam chowder on the Oregon Coast. I enjoyed the Salmon Melt and it was delicious. My husband said his steak was perfectly cooked and textured, and the two pieces of cod were thick and juicy. The Smoked Salmon Spread was DIVINE. 100% recommended and we will be back. This place came highly recommended and now we see why! The service was awesome, very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge! Well worth the money, and we had leftovers for the next day. The clam chowder was awesome, and I had the chicken fettuccine and my son had the crab Mac and cheese. All of it was incredible.
