Stopped by here for a quick lunch with family. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had chicken tenders, chicken quesadillas and buffalo wings. Everything was DELICIOUS! We were staying four nights at Mother Neff State Park and decided to try this restaurant. Glad we did, the food and service were very good. We had the onion rings appetizer, I had the french dip sandwich and my wife had the grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. We both got a slice of pie to go. I had wanted to go for a long time. A friend recommended it. We wanted something different and thought the short drive would be fun. We liked the atmosphere. Parking was fine. I'm not sure it would accessible for a wheelchair. The presentation of the food was wonderful! We weren't impressed by the taste. The Chicken Fried Steak was mostly breading and didn't have good flavor. The hamburger steak seemed off. It didn't taste quite right, but not exactly bad. The fried pickles were amazing! Crispy. We loved the fried mushrooms. The coffee wasn't good. All in all a disappointment, but the service was decent and all the people there very nice. I've eaten here several times now and I greatly enjoy it. I love supporting local and while I'm supporting more concerned with the quality of food than the quality of atmosphere, the food is great and the atmosphere has old world charm to it with their wood decor and old phone booth. Top recommendations: best red sauerkraut cabbage I've had in this area, loaded baked potato (and I'm not even a fan of baked potatoes, but heaps of bacon make everything better), their steak is juicy on the inside and crisped and well seasons on the outside. Home-made mozzarella wedges with ranch. One of my favourite dishes and one executed well here. Oh, and don't leave without getting the signature Eagles Landing dessert! Hubby and I drove 45 minutes for the sole purpose of dining here. We arrived at 11:15 and were greeted by Natalie right away. She was very friendly and attentive. Hubby ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the Stockyard French Dip with fries. The food was amazing. The portions were quite large. Then we got the Eagle's Nest dessert. This gem was worth the trip by itself. They call it pudding, but it's unlike anything I've ever had. It is creamy like ice cream but rich like pudding. It is a must-have!! My only complaint is they don't sell the pudding in tubs. We will definitely be back!! The appetizer was huge. Food was good. Chicken fried steak was very good. Loved the atmosphere. All the old pics of the early 1900s was really cool. Definitely recommend. We will be back. Took a short road trip to try Eagles Landing and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean, food came out quick, served hot and had great flavor. Our waitress, Natalie, gave 5 star service answering any and all questions, discussing the menu and the area and checked on us several times throughout our visit to ensure we were satisfied. An added bonus, was watching the staff interact with each other and helping each other out. Very positive overall - we will be back. Some of the menu items were overcooked. Other than that, it was delicious. The menu could use a smaller, leaner steak at a lower price point. The service was off the chain fantastic. They did an excellent job accommodating my special dietary needs. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
