Their salsas (normal and spicy one) are extraordinary ! Tried Veg Macho burrito and it was awesome!! Location is great and can explore nearby river as well! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Macho Burrito

I hadn’t been to the Fall City restaurant in a few years and it was good back then and then I went last night. Totally disappointed at the severity of the decline in the quality of food at the restaurant. The refried beans were light, runny and literally looked like puke. The chile relleno was nasty and when I spoke to the waitress about it she said that it’s because they are real chiles now and everyone likes it that way????? I’ve always gone to the one in North Bend for close to 30 years and they were always excellent but I looked at the reviews of the Fall City one and they were 4.0 and then I looked at the reviews of the North Bend one last night and they are only 3.8 so I’m afraid that the expansion has caused a decline in their quality. Then I find out that there is yet another one in Maple Valley. You know that old saying! “ It’s not about the quantity, it’s about the quality!” Really sad to say Goodbye to El Caporal!!! Located on the main strip of Fall City, it is one of a very few options in the area. That said, it's exactly what I like about a "cheap Mexican" restaurant. I don't mean cheap in a derogatory way, but rather it doesn't do "artisanal quac on blue corn tortillas" yadda yadda. It's just good, no fuss Mexican food. It was very good and extremely well priced. El Caporal in Fall City offers a respectable level of service, but the culinary experience could use improvement. The Cadillac Margarita felt unbalanced with an excess of sweet and sour mix, and the ground beef tacos were disappointingly watery and lacked flavor. The Carnitas were overly cooked resulting in a tough texture, and the accompanying rice was unusually crunchy. While the service was satisfactory, the food didn't meet the same standard. Should the cuisine match the service, El Caporal would be a recommendable spot. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Margaritas were a minus mediocre. Our beef taco and enchiladas had something in it the constancy of dog food. My order was supposed to be an enchilada and a chicken tostada but I got 2 enchiladas instead delivered by a man who just said a number and then shoved the food in front of us. Friendly staff. Seems authentic! We had a jumbo margarita and Modelo beer (served with a chilled glass), chips was on the house. We had combo tamale, enchiladas. Also tried 4 street taco with beef and chicken. Food tasted good. The salsa has a kick to it :) don’t forget to read about the history of the building!! This is the Mexican mom-and-pop you're looking for. Ordering any of the plates gets you a heaping portion that is sure to invite a restful nap. Chips and house salsa are given at the beginning of the meal. Ordered the carnitas de res, which arrived searing hot with rice, refritos, lettuce, tomatoes, guac (at no extra charge, find that in Seattle), and warm tortillas in a tortillero. Your choice of corn or flour. Overall, a surprising amount of authenticity for being out in Fall City. Our waitress recommended tequila at 1PM, which is an excellent attitude to have. Wonderful little family owned restaurant in Fall City. The service was great, the food was awesome! If you want authentic Mexican food in a friendly environment, visit El Caporal restaurant.
