Ordered a to go chicken kabob salad. Every piece of chicken was undercooked. That is a severe health concern. People can get very sick from undercooked meat. My first and last time eating here. Had an amazing New Year's Eve at Ela Mesa Taste of Grece! Boris, our waiter, added a delightful touch to our experience with his excellent service. The generous portions left us happily satisfied, especially the slow-roasted lamb, which was absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, Ela Mesa stands out as the best Greek restaurant in the DMV area. My wife Nicole and I have been here many times and it’s our absolute favorite Greek restaurant. The lamb neck special, salmon, pastitsio, and any of the other dishes we’ve tried are absolutely delicious. The owner George checks on everyone often and helps out, which is nice. And every server we’ve had has been super nice and attentive, especially Luke who usually serves us. Excellent!! I’ve been here twice. The first time I got Chicken Skewers & today I got their daily special, a Philly Cheesesteak. The chicken was incredible and the fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I was nervous about the cheesesteak as I consider myself somewhat of a Philly cheesesteak connoisseur lol. The roll was perfect, the meat was of the highest quality & the cheese and chopped onion was delicious. I’d say it was the 5th best cheesesteak I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot!! I’ll be going back sometime to try their dinner, but so far everything I’ve had has been top tier. Also, the restaurant has a good ambience and the people there are very nice. A huge find for delicious food, great service, and an enjoyable date night place we look forward to returning too. We got the specials of roasted goat and braised lamb. Both were fork tender, falling off the bone, slopping up with bread (pita) deliciousness. 2/2/24 - this is literally our 6th time here and the food is constantly delicious and this is still our go to place to take friends, family and guests. Slow service, tables are cramped together, and food was good but not amazing. The best thing we had was the saganaki, but everything else left us wanting something better. The staff was friendly, but they seemed a bit unorganized. I would go back for the Sasaki alone, tho, but yes, overall Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Came here for family dinner, we ordered the Lasagna, gyro and chicken skewer platter, and grilled whole Branzino. Grilled octopus and baked spinach pie as appetizers. Everything was great, service was great too with live music. Definitely will be back again. They even offered 4 small slice of cakes for free! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First the resturant is gorgeous. I ordered a little cup of soup to-go a couple months ago and I knew I wanted to come back. It exceeded my expectations. Absolutely delicious! Going to try to convince my company to have a meal here at some point. If you're looking for a date night or celebration spot this is it. My party all ordered lamb. Perfectly cooked, flavors perfectly balanced. Can't wait to return! Also the staff was extremely hospitable and kind. Ela Mesa is a good restaurant with a nice unique menu. The restaurant is a nice size and clean. The washrooms are also clean. The staff are excellent and are very approachable. You are well greeted and the wait staff discuss the menu including the specials of the day. The specials are worth having and we did order two of them. The trout was spectacular and well made. The lamb dip sandwich was also very good. I would go with a salad instead of fries. The chicken souvlaki is done good too and the chicken is not over cooked like many places. The potatoes are also good as as is the delicious Greek salad. Overall our experience here was positive enough to give it 5 stars. I highly recommend you come here if you’re on the area.
