What a great little spot, and very unexpected in Sutter where there are almost no other dining spots. They have breakfast and lunch here; they also offer pastries, treats and other baked goods. The girl who helps at the counter is always very warm and friendly. I've never had a bad experience here. This place is definitely worth a short detour off highway 20 for anyone passing through or even a drive from the Yuba City area. I highly recommend this business!

Great food and atmosphere. Love the coffee and pastries too. We go out of our way to stop in when they are open. Hands down best chicken fried steak I've ever had.

What a gem! We had a marvelous experience at French Whisk which we will gladly repeat. Everything perfectly balanced as to taste, texture, appearance and flavor. Great sandwiches, dessert, additional choices and clam chowder. If you miss real clam chowder do yourself a favor and try their's. Nothing was slapdash, gluelike, greasy or burnt. The service was friendly, thoughtful and informative. Prices fair and competitive. Their catering must be a dream. Takehome puff pastry with fruit topping? Perfect.

Wonderful puff pastry, second visit- I drove to The French Whisk west of Yuba in Sutter. You have got to come here. They play french kinda bluest and jazzy music. And have great food and pastries. Such a nice drive in the country too.
