George's At Alys Beach in Alys Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone travelling to 30A. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is friendly and attentive, and the drinks menu has nice options. The coastal cuisine is fresh, locally sourced, and praised by many. The menu options are creative and consistently delicious. The tuna tartare, lobster quesadilla, spicy salt & pepper shrimp, Caprese pasta with shrimp, and caramel brownie goo dessert are all highly recommended. They also have several craft cocktails available each evening. Unfortunately, the grilled grouper and scallops with cheese risotto were bland and uninspiring. The key lime pie is the best one on 30A. The restaurant is pet friendly but not all staff are welcoming of pets. It is a popular spot so it is best to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before they open to get a table. Overall, George's is an excellent choice for a special meal while on vacation and should not be missed.
