Credit where credit due - the cook and table staff take pride in what they serve here. Indoor surroundings were underwhelming so we were pleasantly surprised when the lovely staff bought out delicious perfectly cooked food. We had rack of ribs which were huge (€22), pesto pasta and an amazing mushroom risotto. So far we’ve not been particularly impressed with food in Gozo but this restored our faith that there are good eateries to be found.

Giuseppe Cafe and Bistro is in the harbour village of Ghajnsielem, Gozo. The restaurant is housed in the local St. Joseph band club building. On the island of Gozo the band clubs are often located in the heart of villages making them a local social hub. Guiseppe Cafe has wholesome, traditional Mediterranean dishes as well as your everyday favorites such as pizza and hamburgers. Chicken Risotto
It is our usual dining local when in Gozo. The quality is good but the portion has dimished lately. I had Salmon and on the menu says a fillet which on previous occasions used to be a good sized fillet. This Thursday it was a half fillet as in photo. Taste was very good as well the presentation.

Awesome, not just the locals but even tourists while in Malta it is a must to visit/experience. Service, food, atmosphere and everything else that goes with this rating was fantastic. Will be back.

Giuseppe is my go-to when in Għajnsielem, Gozo. The café is a popular spot for locals and visitors as well.
The atmosphere is bright and friendly. Walk in and seat yourself; a welcoming server will be with you shortly.
The menu has a wide variety for lunch and dinner. Mediterranean and European dishes include pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, fish, beef, chicken, and pork. Ingredients are local and fresh.
I think the chicken parmigiana is the best anywhere on the islands. My partner loves the roasted half chicken.
One of the best parts of Giuseppe is their dessert case. Cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies are irresistible. If you don't have room for dessert, get something to take home for later.
Giuseppe has a full coffee bar serving coffee drinks of all kinds. There is also a full line of Maltese and international spirits, wine, and beer. We have a bottle of Italian prosecco with our meals there. Of course, we love bubbly wine.
Seating is available indoors and outside. You'll have a sea view if you choose the side terrace. You'll find this café to be easy on your budget. I highly recommend Giuseppe - Café & Bistro.

Couldn't park in Marsalforn to eat and found this by chance on the way to the ferry terminus late. How lucky we were to find this lively place full of locals. Fabulous food.Local fish etc cooked really well and served with great attention to presentation. Special sea bream or snapper came with 'garnish' of a green mussel and an ENORMOUS prawn. Side dish, enough for 2 also included but wasn't really needed as the main plate was big enough. (€17-22)
Perhaps the only suggestion would be a couple of vegetarian dishes on the special menu.
Staff were so friendly and bent over backwards.

We went last year and it was great, went again this year and they changed the menu due to covid 19 . The portions are smaller and it costs more. And they need to be more careful when they serve food. Not everyone like to find hair in their beef.
