For over a decade, this was my favorite place to eat. I used to brag about it to all my friends and co-workers. It was clean, the food was great, the employees friendly. No more. After Manager Ben T. left, the restaurant started to decline. It's now a total disaster. Last night, March 3, we went in for dinner, and wanted to sit at a booth. We waited for it to be wiped down while two employees stood in a corner chatting for several minutes and ignored us. We finally started to clean the table ourselves, which prompted the female employee to finally run over and start engaging with us. English is not her first language, and we didn't understand what she was saying. She finally picked up the drinks we had set down and moved them. She informed us the tables had to be "sanitized" because the restaurant had gotten in trouble with the Health Department. And she said that someone would have to sanitize the other tables before they would sanitize the one we wanted. Well, that was kind of scary. I talked to the manager and she simply said, "We're having an off night." Well, yes, the steak was gristly, the shrimp was under-cooked and had a bad aftertaste, many items weren't being replenished and the dining room was absolutely filthy. I told the manager we would not be coming back and her attitude was, "Oh, well ... okay." Well, okay. We had a good run. My spouse and I ate there on our first date, and we used to take our family and friends there for birthdays and special occasions. We knew everyone who worked there, and they knew us. The service is usually really good. Last night, it was crazy busy. The servers were not checking as often as usual, but there were barely any open tables, so they were working as hard as they could. Overall, decent eating establishment. As with most all you can eat buffets, it is rather crowded. Food is fresh, hot, and tasty. Service was pretty good. Large wait staff. But, with such a large staff, comes communication issues, which often leads to minor delays in service. Restaurant was clean, and comfortable. Definitely a great choice if you are hungry. Was very disappointed this trip to golden coral. Have been there several times. I got the ribs that looked so good unfortunately they were all bone and only got 2 bites of meat off them. So I went back to get a steak unfortunately it was half fat. There was no ham on the bar this night. So I had a delicious piece of pie.

I love their fried chicken, pot roast, fried catfish . On the chicken most the time it's all dark meat, I like breast and wings. So you have to wait. If I remember right chicken's have 2 breast, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 2 legs. So why when they bring out a new tray of hot chicken, there's like 3 breasts to 20 thighs and legs. The Original Solo

Went for a thanksgiving buffet. Was busy as expected. Waited about an hour? Maybe longer. I didn't care. No big deal. Food was good. Turkey was good. Ham was good. The servers were nice, I tipped pretty good. More than likely going back for Christmas Eve, maybe even Christmas day. I like buffets. I'm hoping they were just short-handing during breakfast time. The food was good, but the atmosphere looked cluttered and dirty. I couldn't find the cups for juice. I asked the customer in front of me where he found his--behind the counter. When I came back later there were still no cups. No milk cartons were gone. The floors and counters at the checkout were cluttered & unswept. My waitress never stopped to check on me, even when I first sat down. Food was "good enough", but what I remember are more meat options in visits from several years ago. No steak on the menu for example, normally an option. Seems inflation and the economy are hitting things here at this restaurant and showing in those menu choice reductions. Went on Veterans day. I am a Veteran and thought, because they celebrate, that my mean would be free or discounted. They do celebrate with a discount, but on Monday-3 days after the actual holiday! That was an absolute disappointment. I assume it reduces the numbers of those who would actually take them up on the on the offer is the only reason I can think why they would do this. Atmosphere is typical buffet cafeteria loud which is why I rated that low. Food is good and much to pick from, which is why most buffet eaters go to places like this. But the meat options seeming ro be reduces, and not quite rightly cooked, soft and mushy baked fish... well, those were the disappointments. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
