I chose 3 stars because I have eaten here before, food was delicious, and never had a problem. However, my experience picking up Thanksgiving food was ridiculous. I could have made the 3 items I was standing around waiting for in the time it took for them to hand me my prepaid order. I waited along with a large crowd of others, outside, in the parking lot. The order had a pick up time of 10:30 and I received it at 12:30. I am sure something went terribly wrong on their end, and they may have had a good understandable reason for such a delay in filling orders, but no one addressed the crowd of eager customers to explain the holdup. If they’d have given a reason, even a vague one, it would’ve made it easier to wait. The fact that they did not acknowledge it or offer apology, explanation, or give a reason for the madness leads me to decide not to order from here in the future.
Food was delicious but it cannot make up for the chaos of Thanksgiving Preorder pickup on Wednesday 11/23. After you made the preorder there were no email reminders sent and there were no reheating instructions sent or provided. There was no where to park, a massive crowd of people waiting, and no line control or process for checkin. Even the process of calling names out was fractured and inconsistent.
Although there were set pickup times, it didn’t matter once there. At one point an employee went to the refrigerated truck and started a new check in list, a new line, a new process, due to the lack of coordination at the front. The owner was there and not doing anything to fix or control the situation. Not a single employee spoke to anyone directly or took charge. Not even Suzanne. Once I received my food I checked my bag & was given 2 wrong items. This was resolved quickly. I then had to carry my full Thanksgiving meal 3 blocks to my car (turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pie, gravy, rolls, quiche). In one plastic bag. Again, the food was delicious. But I cannot justify going through that again.
Instead of slaving over your stove for several hours for Thanksgiving dinner just come to Suzanne's and wait in the parking lot for 3 hours to pick up your food. No explanation just continue to wait for our food.
Never again will I order from Suzanne's. Complete disaster.
Always a favorite when in Ashland and now a Halloween Day tradition. I had the crab cake sandwich and cucumber salad, both delicious and my sister has the pastrami and Swiss on rye, which I tried and it was toasted to perfection.
The fried chicken was absolutely horrible. It was cold soggy and tasted nasty. I didn't eat that garbage. Your quality control is no good at all. You are way over priced for your quality.
