I was unaware of the changes made, i came in with different expectations. It was ok but we paid soo much for what little we ate.

Crab Legs
My family drove into town because my mom was really excited. We were very disappointed. The waiter was nice but I feel like he was probably new. We were a bigger party of 12 but it was not very busy when we arrived. It took almost 30 mins for our drinks (sofa and water). The problem was the food took forever. To get the first plates 45 mins. We ordered our second plates as soon as the first plates were put so they had time. Nope 45mins and only some of the playes came out. The waiter was constantly forgetting to put in stuff We ordered. So in trying to be understanding and not constantly asking because we were big 40 mons passed and we had no food because he forgot to order it. Very disappointed. My husband had one plate only. He said he would never go back and that's because my husband is usually the most understanding. The food was ok, but we had steaks come out cooked wrong. Fried seafood did not have any flavor. I would have given 1 star but when the manager realized what happened he spoke with us but it was late and we were already very frustrated.

Stepping into HW Seafood SteakHouse in McAllen, TX, I couldn't help but be a bit skeptical given the high turnover rate of previous tenants in this building. But boy, am I glad we decided to give it a shot!
Breaking a 24-hour fast couldn't have been done in a better way. The service was impeccable, and my steaks were cooked to perfection – tender and bursting with flavor just as I like them. As for the seafood platters, they were a hit with everyone at our table!
All in all, it was a delightful experience, and I must say, I'm glad I took the chance. HW Seafood SteakHouse has certainly earned its spot on our list of favorites in McAllen!
*03/07/24 Update
Back with an update from last night's adventure. Second time at this spot, and seafood was the move. Dug into some pan-seared red snapper with shrimp – cooked just right, nestled on a bed of rice, drenched in this sweet-savory sauce that's straight-up divine. And oh, had to swipe my son's cheeseburger. Someone said it wasn't up to snuff; turns out, it's a gem. Pics don't do justice, but trust me, it's a winner. Crispy-crusted smashed patty – that's how a burger should roll. This place? Yeah, it's locking in.
