This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant. The service is amazing, the location is right in the middle of beverly hills and the food is so rich and homemade. Don't even bother coming if you're not eating any pasta. Your diet will go out the window once you get a whiff of what the table next to you is eating. This past Saturday night, my husband and I had a fabulous meal at Il Pastaio Italian Restaurant. We ordered the tasting plates that included 5 courses and dessert. All of the food was scrumptious and creative. The homemade ravioli and pasta with crab were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and everything was terrific. This was my first time here. My family and I walked by here on our way to Café Roma, and this was open. Luckily, this place was open. We discovered that Café Roma was not there with a phone number to call for takeout. We had just come out of work, and we were afraid we were not dressed for the restaurant or that it needed reservations. So, they took walk-ins and were not concerned with our clothing either. They were so sweet and sat us down inside. It is beautiful inside. Real olive tress in it. The vibe was on point. Loved it. We had an amazing server, Soledad. She was wonderful, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She got our food right and super quick. We definitely appreciated her suggestions. Very intuitive. I also loved Jesús. I'm not sure what his title is officially, but he was amazing, too. Professional and courteous. Those two made us feel welcomed and heard. They checked on us frequently. The food was pretty good. We got white, Daou wines. They served us some warm bread. It's not free and added on your tab. We ordered calamari for appetizers. It was ok. A little too fried and under seasoned for me. The chicken Milanese is good. It's a lot, and my aunt, her husband, and I split it. However, we got spaghetti, so we didn't have all that meat left over. The sauce was delicious. Best I have had in a long time. We also ordered the dish with Just Beaver's name. It was good, too. Then we did some desserts. Flourless cake and coconut gelatti. So good. Plus, there was a lemoncello shot of something, and I had an Italian grappe that tasted like almonds. It was a great experience. I'd come back to try some other stuff. Wonderful staff. It was a Wednesday night. We ate here around 5:30 pm and left by 7 pm. Great service. Good food. Awesome staff. Beautiful decor and vibe. Hope to return on my trips back. We went to celebrate Il Pastaio's 30th anniversary and it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, I never leave this restaurant disappointed. The staff is wonderful and attentive, the owner and his family are so kind and welcoming, and the food is delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!
